If you have a mature attitude and good manners then try a social. Make sure you mingle and introduce yourself and don't be shy to ask for a veri if you're getting on with people - even people you'd never play with. But veris from women and couples will be more helpful than from single men.

Look in meet requests and parties and in the UK forums for details of socials. Some are in clubs and if you're on the guestlist you don't need a membership so it can be a good and reasonably cheap way to try a club.

many people will have kids your age so that is probably what is holding you back, I'd suggest just being a regular 19 year old and go to pubs, clubs etc
