They were very fashionable in the late 70s for a while.Died of a bit when it became common knowledge that were used in the 18th,19th and early 20th century as a way of identifying ladies of the night.

Yes, my personal preference, is the anklet worn under stockings/tights. When it catches your eye it is a real turn on..

Why is it that ankle chains are not that easily found for sale any longer, are they becoming obsolete..... Hope not!

Any recommendations on where to purchase?

Some guys , before they have a wank think it means women are after sex or certain types of sex depending on what ankle or wether they have m f or bbc etc etc on it .

Yeah. I know someone who used to wear a bracelet on her right ankle. Indicating that her husband is a cuckold and that she is availablr to fuck whoever she pleases...

So many hot wife's messages/signs to learn! The only one I know is the Queen of Spades sign on an ankle bracelet......mind you it was the wife that explained what it meant and that by then she had been wearing it for over two years!

Strange, that particular type of jewellery hasn't ended up being worn by men. Men wear necklaces, rings, ear rings, bangles and bracelets. There must be something particularly feminine about ankle bracelets and Tiaras

Like everything a matter of preference. I've worn a gold ankle bracelet since I was 22 and have only taken it off to have my foot x-rayed and to hang a charm on it. My best friend bought it for me when we were 22 because she said I had great ankles. She died in a car crash a few months later so I have always worn it in her memory. So mine has great sentimental value and I wouldn't say that was awful or trashy. It doesn't symbolise anything than an important friendship and I have never been questioned about what it signifies in 32 years!!

For the poster who asked where you can get them, some jewellers still sell them and Claire's also sell them in different lengths, obviously they are only costume jewellery but fine if you only want to wear it occasionally for decoration.
