Brilliant fun; they're visual glowing, usually, purple or pink but the older electrodes often glow with other colours as it depends on the gas and the electrode material. They're audible; crackling and popping. They create ozone so you can smell them, and they're tactile with the effect varying on the type of electrode and power level, anything from a gentle skin warming sensation to branding if you use a metal pick electrode on a very high setting.

Even on a moderate to high setting, the skin is usually only marked by a general redness which fades over 24 hours.

The wands use a very high voltage but low amperage and the charge dissipates over the surface of the skin.

Restored antique wands are the best; expensive ~ £650 for a decent wand and a really good selection of electrodes. Buy only from someone who knows what they are doing regarding restoration ( contact available); for safety always use a RCD and don't use over broken skin, skin cancers or the chest area if someone has a pacemaker or cardiac disease, otherwise generally safe.

Avoid the cheap Eastern European and Chinese wands that appear on eB; cheap, nasty, usually only one or two electrodes and Sandman has concerns about their electrical safety.

Contact Dr Nasty on here, as he has a couple of sets and knows almost everything that could be known about electrostim; wands and internal electrodes. I'm sure he will take the time to respond to a polite message.

We have a couple of sets, N is a big fan, either for use on skin warmed by hitty things or for sensory play especially with me as the secondary electrode.

Favourites are the hairbrush attachment and an electro capable cane.

Jack in Brighton will make you some fantastic electro conductive canes, whips and floggers.

Look up 'Nick and Morphia' in London for restored wands.

I love secondary electrode play!

The violet wand is amazing. The sensations vary from a slight tickle to feeling like your skin is being cut

we love our neon wand, it is a kinklab model from loveoney although we did get the tripper cable from US amazon as it worked out about a third of the price.
