We are smokers unfortunately and we were wondering when profiles state that they won't meet smokers is that 100% or if the smokers were not to smoke before or during a meet a meet ( break time for example) would that be different.

Also what are non smokers views on e-cigs?

yes I have to agree that its the smell. We have no problem with people smoking, free country and all that and we were real nicotine addicts ourselves years ago.

Can't comment on e-cigs having no direct experience but if they leave no trace smell wise...go ahead

. we both smoke!. is it peeps just don't read profiles or is it (we will make a exception). that's what we usually get. if it states won't meet smokers we refuse to meet them!.

I think it's one of those things.

I smoke most of the people who message me displaying interest have that they don't meet smokers on their profile (sometimes even written themselves too).

I do not meet smokers and say this on my profile yet still get contacted by smokers to see if I will change my mind.No,No No. Some goal posts I will be flexible on, but not this one.

As for an e cig smoker, yes I would meet but have not kissed or tasted, so cannot comment.

I am an ex smoker one of these really annoying ones that wafts their arms around but unfortunately it repulses me. I never realised when I smoked how you can detect it, on your skin and hair etc.

This is exactly right, and smokers often say that they wont smoke at the meet for us. That is good of them, but even if they didnt smoke for an hour... or a day they do not realise they still smell. Added to that are thestained fingers, bad teeth invariably. We could never entertain going into a smokers house so the no smokers option is best for us as it saves wasting time for everyone. The frustrating and disappointing part of this is when we see a hot trim couple, but they smoke. So disappointing.

Well how about us Mr smokes and Mrs doesn't and for smoker's houses what if they don't smoke in the house Mr doesn't smoke in the house due to children even the health visitor thought neither of us smoked been as you can't smell smoke at all

We understand that there may be one or two exceptions, we just dont want to take the risk, we just find it unappealing. The chances are tjough that even if you are sensible enough to smoke around kids the smokers impregnated clothes will smell, and the halitosis is always evident.

I dont like smoking full stop but will meet smokers as long its not in my face if meet is at smokers place its their house their rules.

To be fair those i have met that smoke have been good about it and not been too bad. If it got too bad i would just say i will have to leave as my health more important than a fuck.

If meets at my place my house my rules too and no smoking allowed folk are aware before meets as only fair its about respectings others choices no matter how awful smoking is to me.

Same applies to e cigs for me as not enough research been done to confirm associated health risks.

If folk cant go without fags for few hours then thats their problem not mine.

I think that 'wont meet smokers' relates to tobacco cigarettes, in the standard sense. Ecigs are not cigarettes, they are vaporisers that contain nicotine but not tobacco. As such, ecig smokers ought to be welcomed, I would have thought, as it's the tobacco essentially that people have an issue with.

After reading the threads on this post , we would almost consider only meeting smokers .

However , we have been around long enough to realise that the anti smoking posters on here , truly don't represent the reality .

We are both smokers , and have never had a problem playing with non smokers .

We don't drink alcohol , and have never had a problem playing with those that do .

The thrill of the meet is our motivation , and barriers are not a part of our way of thinking .

If the people we play with are our type , physically and personality wise , we don't care whether they smoke , drink , do poppers or anything else for that matter .

It's all about fun between consenting adults , and two thirds of our meets have been with non smokers who have had as much fun with us as we have with them !

Its people's choice to smoke. I have met a smoker before but was not aware he did smoke. Cannot remember if his profile stated it, to be honest, he did not smell or taste of smoke. But I wouldnt meet one through choice. Reason being is that I cant go home possibly smelling of smoke.

I met up with an old ex FB and I couldn't tell on his breathe that he had started to smoke but I could when I started to move down south on him.

There is only so long that I can hold my breathe. It's a shame too as it's one of my favourite things to do.

Years ago, a meet traveled over 100 miles but I turned him away as he lied about his smoking status. He thought not smoking for a couple of days would do it. He stank.

One bloke messaged me and insisted he didn't smoke and then sent me a picture with a cigarette in his mouth!

Really smokers, if you could smell yourselves, you'd know why and yes, I used to smoke.

We're ex smokers if 11 months now and hate the smell of smoke although peanuts has met a guy who does.

We haven't met anyone properly since we gave up but as long as they are very considerate we wouldn't entertain them (esp on a play meet) but if they used ecigs were happy as we use them too...although peanuts would prob try and convert any smoker who enters out house lol

If you are giving up smoking and have moved onto ecigs, you will still smell of fags for a little while until your body purges all the toxins, and one of the main ways it will do this is thru the pores in the skin.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen overnight

It's not smokers that bother me. Had a meet before where they had obviously had a curry or garlic bread earlier and their breath was atrocious. Nothing worse then going in for a snog and getting a taste of left over garlic.

I've been on ecigs for 4 months and my partner loves kissing me after I smoke it especially as I get lovely fruity flavours such as blueberries and banana and yummy bubblegum. My friends at work love the smell of it too.

I would be reluctant to meet smokers atm but that's only cause I'm still in the process of quitting and a freshly opened packet of cigarettes smells wonderful to me. As long as they shower before the meet and keep the smoking to a minimum on a meet I'm cool with it.

Its hard to quit and some people do enjoy it, not gonna tell them they can't just cause we don't smoke.

I work with people who are using ecigs, I didn't know till a couple of weeks ago. But then to be fair to them when they were smoking you couldn't tell either. our changing room is tiny and never reeked of smoke as their clothes never

You can taste the nicotine: it's awful. I met a man who said he didn't smoke. When I kissed him I nearly threw up in his mouth.

He was embarrassed and joked about buying shares in Listerine.

I wasn't amused and annoyed he thought he could lie and I'd not know. There are people who don't mind smokers, bi, fat, thin, short etc. Why people feel the need to question the preferences of others when they are excluded annoys me.

Will not meet smokers: what part of that causes confusion?!!

Some folk sadly are in denial about being smokers whist i cannot stand it just be honest so folk can make inforned decision whether to meet.

No such thing as social smoker if you have a cig then you are a smoker there is no inbetween on it.

i class folk using e cigs still as smokers and intil such time there has sufficient studies done regarding health to others not smoking being clarified then for me will stay the same.

All the propoganda about e cigs being safe is untested and put about by manufacturers. Do not get me wrong i do not think for one minute they are anywhere near as bad as so called normal cancer sticks.

My mum is 84 this year and has been a non smoker for about five years I think now, might be a little more, third attempt but she had her reasons for restarting. She was a smoker from the age of 18 when it was fashionable. I. rate my mum for this, wish my willpower against chocolate was as good

We will not meet smokers, he has an allergy to what is produced so now finds difficulty going out because of smokers hanging around doorways, he becomes ill for up to 17 days.

He gave up smoking in March 2010 after 45years

Part of the problem is that the only 2 options people have for their profile is either "meet smokers" or "don't meet smokers"...there's no "happy with considerate smokers" option.

We know plenty of people who have the occasional cigarette or cigar, wouldn't dream of smmoking inside their own or anyone else's house, don't smell of smoke etc and for whom it's an occasional pleasure...they're a worls apart from the chain smokers we've occasionally seen who light one after the other, have a big pile of stibs in front of them and, as other posters have said, smell of smoke a mile off...

The original post here was a new couple asking about those who state they won't meet smokers , and how rigid this rule was .

If they only listen to the few on the thread they get a misguided answer .

Thank you for your input. We understand what you are saying.

It does seem as though there are a few who are dead against smokers but like yourselves and some others have stated some non smokers are happy to bend the rules if they like what they see.

I always point out that i'm not willing to go without a fag if I want one and if they meet me at some point I will light up, still don't put them off, the joys of being out numbered 200 to 1 eh

You obviously have no clue about ecigs...firstly your not smoking as you don't inhale it exhale smoke...it's vapour...a water like substance...secondly the only thing in ecig juice that isn't in a fair amount of products is nicotine...although everyone digests nicotine at some point in their lives (even if they lived in a smoke free bubble) as potatoes contain nicotine!!

The rest of the ingredients are also found in other products as food stuffs...unlike NRT ingredients which can and do include hydrochloric acid!!

And the only propaganda that is being spouted is by government guided media about how harmful it is....yet in this country there is over 1.5 million people currently using them and that figure is growing....and why does the government want to ban these or not promote how good they are because of the money they loose from cigs. I class myself as a non smoker as I do not smoke....and there are studies done etc to prove how effective and good they are.

Sorry of the rant but the nonsense some people spout when they know nothing about what they are talking gets my back up.

But at the end of the day it's each to their own who they do and do not meet regardless of what it says on their profile as everyone has the right to choose who to meet regardless

I get tons of messages from people who say they 'won't meet smokers', I smoke, says so on my profile. I always mention it when these people message me, and have always been told that either they don't mind really, or that they just put that because they don't smoke. I assume those that really don't want to meet smokers are amongst those who actually read my profile and just don't message me.

i think it's just a case of each to their own. It's never been an issue for me, and for the record, as a smoker, I've never been told that I smell horrible! Not all smokers reek of stale smoke and have breath flavoured with an old ashtray.

I hate the smell, I hate the tast. It's my choice not to meet smokers just like it was your choice to start smoking!!

They choose to start smoking. Then they kick off when it starts getting in the way of other choices they make.

I wouldn't criticise anyone for not wanting to meet me, for any reason. As I said before, each to their own, we all have preferences.

I wouldn't wanna get it on with someone who reeks of stale smoke either, but not ALL smokers do. Some of us are considerate to our own noses and those around us to 'freshen up' so to speak.

"After reading the threads on this post , we would almost consider only meeting smokers .

However , we have been around long enough to realise that the anti smoking posters on here , truly don't represent the reality .

We are both smokers , and have never had a problem playing with non smokers .

We don't drink alcohol , and have never had a problem playing with those that do .

The thrill of the meet is our motivation , and barriers are not a part of our way of thinking .

If the people we play with are our type , physically and personality wise , we don't care whether they smoke , drink , do poppers or anything else for that matter .

It's all about fun between consenting adults , and two thirds of our meets have been with non smokers who have had as much fun with us as we have with them !

I bet there are more of the personal hygeine issues on here than inconsiderate smokers and with the smelly parts you cant see or smell it till its under your nose. lol Maybe clubs shoukd have "Smelly genital areas" as well as "smoking areas"

We've found that lots of people don't even realise it's set like that. The 'won't meet' is a default setting so unless specifically changed it will say that. A lot of people don't fill their profile out properly.

Mr doesn't smoke at all, but I have an ecig and never mention it as it doesn't smell. Well..apart from strawberry..

We don't get put off by smokers as long as they don't smell like they've just had one. Anyone can wash their hands and suck a mint?

We don't usually kiss apart from fem on fem so its not an issue. Never has been...

Yep that's what we'd say. We used to meet smokers that said they wouldn't smoke while with us, out of politeness but we agree that it definitely makes Semen taste bitter. If it's that which makes the bitter taste then I cannot see E cigarettes being the solution.

Yes, and I agree. I don't get put off as much as you do because I've only been stopped smoking 9 months and could easily pick up a cigarette again myself (although I haven't and hopefully won't).

My opinion was a personal one from me and how I can deal with it.

All the years I smoked I didn't always smell of it because my family never knew. They hated it with a passion. I was always a guilty smoker...

Ecigs are good although my ex used to have one that tasted like ice cream, she used to get very annoyed when I would steal it off her lol

My view is probably controversial lol.

I have never even smoked 1 cigarette, not even put one in my mouth.

I met a chap last month who smokes and had a bit of a sense of dread about whether I would hate it. It didn't bother me in the slightest in the end and he had the most neutral tasting cum I've ever experienced, I know this because I swallowed and played with his cum pretty extensively. I think diet plays a part too in the taste so someone being a smoker doesn't necessarily mean unpleasant tasting cum.

So for me, smoking is no barrier.

All down to choice. We smoke 'recreationally' and make that clear in our profile,yet still get the 'non-smokers' messaging us.

We're not into larger people,but if you spoke about them being 'fat and smelly' in the way smokers get generalised then you'd get your head bitten off.

We would like to thank everyone for their views.

As expected the feed back was varied.

It was interesting that some non smokers seemed to think that the even someone who had not smoked for days still smelt of smoke.

We are going on to e-cigs

(nothing to do with this thread) as we know that smoking is a bad thing and one thing for sure is that it will certainly increase our chances in finding what were looking for.

Single guys may have it on their profile but they never stick to it. When a guy messages me who won't meet smokers, i point out i am one. They ALWAYS reply with "Oh i don't really care." And then i don't meet them.

We are smokers/e-cig users but if we were not then we would not limit ourselves to non smokers but expect people to be considerate.
