face pictures

Why do people put photos of them self on here that were quite obviously taken 15 years ago?

Also if you are going to send a face picture, surely a flattering one is a better choice, not the one that would be more suited on a Wanted Dead or Alive poster. Or is it just me that get's these?

If I'm going to send a picture,its always recently taken but its hard to judge you're own picture as flattering.

I've seen pictures on here that physically make me retch.

a picture of me 15 years ago would be my first year of high school, don't think i'll have much luck with that one lol

seriously though with the technology we have nowadays a picture can be taken and be on here in an hour or sent through other means instantly, ask for a couple of snaps theres no valid reason why anyone shouldn't

The ones that are sent with sunglasses on crease me and even better the ones that even if you had the hubble telescope they are so bloody far away you'd still have a problem making out a face.

I always send crap pics of me. That way they are hopefully pleasantly surprised (relieved!) when they meet me in person.

Couldn't agree more or we get ones where there standing so far away from the camera you still can't see there face or have a pint glass in front of them x then you ask for a better one and they get annoyed lol x

It is definitely an odd practice. In my opinion, you might as well show exactly what you look like.

If you sell somebody on a great looking, but 10 year old pic of you, you're just screwing yourself. Your first social meet, and you instantly show dishonesty and deception. The person will immediately wonder what else you've lied about!
