Myself and three other mates have tickets for the Commonwealth games but seeking accommodation is proving a nightmare. Can anybody advise of "reasonably" priced accommodation for four lads in the Glasgow area?

A lot of students go home for the summer holidays and sublet their accommodation. Try some of the colleges to see if they have noticeboards or look on their facebook pages.

Good luck with that. I've ended up in a youth hostel as the hotels are massively overpriced (plus I may get to meet some hot young ladies hehe). It's worth considering staying a fair distance out of Glasgow as the trains run until late and are reasonably priced

Asked one of my friends who is coming with me and he says no more than £50! I say no more than £60! As unrealistic as that sounds I have seen propertied being advertised on airbnb around that figure (when split four ways). Its the hotel's which are quoting ridiculous prices
