We aren't hard to find but due to high number of single guys you unfortunately have a lot of shit to sort to find the good guys.

as a decent single male, I'd also like a decent profile to respond to...not being nasty OP, but profile wise things go both ways for me.

sometimes its useful to check out other couples/fems who meet singles..their verifies might lead u to 'decent' single males

I lot of the guys in demand dont have to do a lot of the chasing, so give them a reason as to why they should meet you as opposed to someone else!!!

sometimes I think a lot of it has to do with mindset... just because someone may be a single guy, doesn't mean they will jump at the heels of any couple who clicks their fingers........

A lot of couples I find get tons of messages by single guys so its hard for me to even message people cause I know I'll not get a response 9/10 times. Most of the time they either get deleted or read and no reply.

I've also seen that sometimes they don't even look at your profile.

As others have said on here OP it can work both ways.

In general, you're probably right.

In your specific case: I wouldn't want to give an unsolicited critique of your profile, but you have definitely put a few obstacles in your own way.

ok I admit I have spoken to and met the odd dick head, but I have also met many many more great guys and had some very memorable meets, 99% of the guys I have spoken to and met have been decent guys

I live in a fairly remote area and quite a distance from a lot of people but I've managed to find a few nice decent single men. I've also bantered and messages a few from the Forums too and if ever I visit their home towns I wont be afraid of messaging them for a social meet either.

If you want nice decent men OP then why don't you go and find them. Although I have to agree with a few other posters in saying that your profile isn't helping you.

And it will depend on your definition of 'young'? 49 is younger than you both - but I guess that's not what you meant. And if you're looking for someone much younger then bear in mind they will have age preferences too!

We would love to find a young single guy. But it's so hard. All the ones we like are far away. The ones we do like say they can accommodate and then they can't or they say they can travel and they can't or we meet and meet but they won't have fun. So we are going to try a singles night and see how that goes. Crossing my fingers

I've met plenty, but despite having a very long profile I think (or hope!) it doesn't come over as negatively as yours. You're more likely to be contacted by the few who don't read profiles and use the scattergun approach, hoping that lots of messages gives them more chance of a reply. The decent guys would read yours and probably decide to look elsewhere for someone more approachable...and who offered pics out too in return for pics sent. Also, if you aren't getting messages from the 'right' guys, then are you searching too? Seek the men that you want instead of expecting them to find and message you...be proactive and more positive and you'll find the fun you're after
