Why can you access pictures on profiles that have been hidden.

Surely if you choose to hide your profile then this should also prohibit access to any pictures on the profile.

Only just found out this happens and seems a little strange to us

Yeah you could do but we think that the point of hiding your profile is that you want to hide the whole of your profile and not just a portion it.

We have been on this site for a number of years and have only just found this out, so wondering whether others have hid their profile thinking that this also included the profile pictures and are unaware that they can still be viewed.

Just think that this should be made clear for all users on the site.

I didn't realise this as well until another forum member told me. I was very confused how I was receiving fabs! It's a pain moving things to private.

I agree that if you hide your profile, everything should be hidden automatically.

Maybe post this again in the feedback section. I have seen the site owners post there.

good idea. Not so bad for me as I don't have many pictures but I still forget to re set them sometimes when I go into hiding.

I've hidden my profile when taking breaks and it was only when I clicked on it to check it was hidden that I saw the pics were still available to view. I would have thought hiding it would automatically hide my pics too and it would be nice if people weren't still able to message you on a hidden profile also.

No, all your gallery pics c an be viewed as normal

surely the idea of the site is for people to look at pics, and have a wank if they so wish, hiding pics makes the site less attractive for potential new members, surely if you have pics its a compliment that people look atthem, unless its the wife or husband if they find out your on here

We understand that people like to look at pictures on a profile but it is not compulsory to post any.

We just think that if you choose to hide your profile then that should include all aspects of the profile.

People may choose to take a break from the site and by hiding their profile, they can do this without all the kerfuffle of creating a new profile should they wish to return.

We just think that the 'Hide' facility should do just that and hide everything.

To stop people from contacting you, without hiding your pictures? It seems pretty straight forward to me. Want to hide the pics? Make them private.

'Hide profile' does NOT equate to 'hide pics'

I assume that the logic is that you are hiding your profile not your gallery. But I agree with others that it might be good if it was linked not least because it appears many people assume that to be the case.

On a similar note it would be good if hiding a profile meant you didn't receive winks and friend requests.

This is our point exactly, loads of people, us included, are not aware that when hiding your profile, your gallery pics are still available.

This seems strange to us and as for others saying you are only hiding your profile NOT your gallery, this seems a little confusing since your gallery is published on your profile and is an intrinsic part of lots of peoples profiles. You could argue that you should just delete the text from your profile as this is effectively all the 'hide' option does at present.

In it's current form we believe that the 'hide' option is less than a half measure and as you suggest, if you choose to hide your profile then maybe you should not be able to be contacted.

Its not straight forward to me either, I thought the "hide profile" would do exactly that..... photos are on or part of profile, you have to create a profile to attach your photos to it.

See it is confusing and does give the impression that pics will be hidden too
