i would say most play safe, but there are plenty that do bareback, not aware of anyone catching anything but those that do bareback tend to move in the same circles.

We prefer to play it safe, but i guess if there was people we played with all the time and trusted then it would be considered but unlikely.

If it were random gangbangs etc then i would have thought it very risky.

This topic has become so common and we are struggling to see what all the fuss is about. Each to their own.

We think the majority would agree that bareback feels better for both parties and the majority would also state that this is a luxury reserved for their nearest and dearest. That is our preference and a strict rule of ours.

However a person's sexual health is their own responsibility and, as condoms do not prevent 100% of ST Is it is a risk that an individual may feel comfortable taking. If that choice is an informed one, is managed with regular tests and they are honest with their partners then why is it anyone's business?

At risk of playing devils advocate is there any need to bad mouth these individuals over such a matter? If you insist on safe sex and they oblige it doesn't really have an effect on you. If they don't want to wrap it up then move on! Just as you would if they had a preference for some other kink you weren't in to.

Unless you are in a very open, honest and monogamous relationship I don't see how anything can be 100% safe. ST Is can still be transmitted (albeit a reduced risk) condoms can tear and very few people wrap up for oral.

There were 62M people in this country in 2009. There were around 450,000 STIs diagnosed. The Kinsey Institute says on average sexually active people have sex 100 times per year.

If we assume only 30% of the UK population has sex then there were 1,860M sex acts in 2009. From those 450,000 STIs were caught or one STI for every 4,133 sex acts. Or on average 41.3 years of sex.

If some people want to take this 1:4,133 risk it is their choice. If, in correctly recognising the risk, they go to the GUM clinic they are probably better protected than the "totally safe sex" people who never go because they always use a condom.

They are therefore unlikely to be "riddled with disease" and as far as your suggestion that they "want to spread it" to injure their fellow man, I am struggling to think how you could have insulted them more?

Disclaimer: Nothing above should be taken as my condoning or criticizing the practice of bare back sex. I only want to try and get matters in some sort of proportion and stop "Holier than Though" persons from insulting other members.

Of all the sex acts performed many will be either monogamous or using a condom, now although not eliminating the possibility it does alter the risk rate for those in the risk group ie so although it may be only one in 4 k when all sex acts are counted as the base line it becomes a lot higher for the perpetual bare backer and a lot lower for the condom user xx that coupled with a few cum sluts comments I have read suggesting they wish to be filled with cum from over 10 men as often as they can to achive their much less than 1 in 1000 would not take so long

The true stats analysed would actually suggest a lady having sex with 10 or more men happy to bareback such a lady is inevitably going to contract and spread an std . Also the quoted stats mention reported cases it would be prudent to suggest not all cases of std are reported

There were 62M people in this country in 2009. There were around 450,000 STIs diagnosed. The Kinsey Institute says on average sexually active people have sex 100 times per year.

If we assume only 30% of the UK population has sex then there were 1,860M sex acts in 2009. From those 450,000 STIs were caught or one STI for every 4,133 sex acts. Or on average 41.3 years of sex.

If some people want to take this 1:4,133 risk it is their choice. If, in correctly recognising the risk, they go to the GUM clinic they are probably better protected than the "totally safe sex" people who never go because they always use a condom.

Good points but sadly there is no way to accurately predict the exact risk to an indivudual.

They do however say that the risk of a woman contracting HIV from having sex with an already infected man is about 1:1000. In the end it is personal choice so those that wish, go bareback, but must tell others so they can make up their own minds.
