Has anyone ever used the between 9 and 5 website for booking a day time room or do other people use an alternative source?

hiding from cock pics.

I wish they were better value though, any I have seen have been much dearer than the night rate.

Trying to find day rooms outside the capital is like searching for a needle in a haystack

Most hotels offer day rates, best way is to ring the hotel direct.

And if you said it's for a meeting make sure you turn up looking businesslike.

"It's more the night rate plus an early check in fee"

Not always.

If a hotel is quiet you can get a good deal.

Not all hotels charge extra for day use. We don't where I work and we have all sorts of people using them for various reasons, just to grab a shower, for a nap, for meetings, for a chance to just unwind during a long journey etc. Ask them for their 'best available rate'. Offering day use is no skin off their nose, just means housekeepers need to be informed not to enter the room until you have checked out.
