I've torn my banjo string for the second time......thinking about getting my old hoodie chopped (cringe) anyone had it done? How painfull is it and I've been told before after having it done your like a virgin again lol any truth in this

Don't do it before reading this.

What you suffer from is called phimosis and it's more common than you think - about 5 per cent of males. If your foreskin is tight and rips during sex then this can be sorted by stretching exercises - this is true.

You can get cream to help with the stretching.

If you have it cut (as an adult) you'll have to go without sex for approximately 3 months. The next thing is your glans (bellend) will be very sensitive, because it been used to being covered, but that will die down.

There is a gadget in Japan called a 'glansie' with helps with the stretching. Japan don't allow circumcision so it's popular over there.

I've heard of this but i don't think its the case if I'm honest as its never been over tight..... more fitted into a tight space lol...... thanks though

Mine was tight.

Loose enough to stretch over the glans, but I'd have trouble bringing the foreskin back until I was 'relaxed'.

The skin would sometimes rip during sex and was painful.

Now I've stretched the skin it doesn't rip anymore.

You need a cream like betnovade as this thins the skin and stops splitting and ripping. don't get cut, the guys I know really regret it. and try the stretching exercises

His problem is the tearing of the frenulum ( banjo string in his words). Circumcision isn't necessary but the problem could be solved with a frenuloplasty which would stop is tearing again .

If the actual fore skin is too tight then stretching exercises can be used along with a mild steroid cream to assist in thinning the skin .

I had a circumcision because my foreskin was tight, I only had it done when I was 35. It was the best decision I have ever made. Yes, there is some pain for a few days afterwards and having depends on how quickly the stitches heal up. But, the short term inconvenience is worth the long term gain.

It was more sensitive at first but this dies down very quickly, it didn't affect me when having sex, e.g. I didn't come any sooner or later, but it was a hell of lot more comfortable.

I was circumcised at 2 years old so don't know any different... But I'm guessing you have to masturbate differently due to the lack of extra skin because the handjobs I've had have been pretty painful from ladies who (I imagine) as used to things having a bit more "give". LOL

I had problems and had to have it done.I will add its not a painful op but recovery takes a while and if u can manage to not have it done id opt out its very sensitve till u get used to it like being naked without clothes on .

I too like one or two of the posters had to get circumcised at an adult age. Prior to it, sex was painful and not fulfilling. So I made the decision to get cut, and I'm telling you, go for it! Yes, its awkward and a little painful for a few days, but then the pain will quickly ease. If you are really suffering, lubes, gels, excerises and those Japanese toys, are either gimmicks or just a great way to get money from you.

Just go get it cut, you'll thank us that recommend it, and the gel, lube, well there are other uses for that, but that's another story!

I'm currently healing from a circumcision and I was in the same position as the guy who started this topic. I snapped the old banjo a couple of years back and sex became very painful and often resulted in more tearing. Naturally I buried my head in the sand hoping it would go away and eventually I bit the bullet and saw the doc. I was told a circumcision was likely but he gave me some cream to try which didn't work.

Had the op a couple of weeks bank and it's healing nicely and my cock seems thicker since which is a nice side effect.

It was something I'd rather have not done but I'd rather have a healthy sex life than worrying about it being painful or tearing.
