Tough one but at the same time so easy. Anything at all that shows a bit of personality or insight into who is sending the message and i don't mean a list of stats.

Often i would prefer a short paragraph about the lump of fluff he just saw on his desk than the lifeless, meaningless dribble some people send.

Well, I find it hard to engage with men who do not show me respect and 'a newbie' contacted me about a week ago'

Made reference to my profile, that proved he had actually read it (it helped that he complimented my writing!), he had even bothered with a short profile about himself and what he was looking for, that is what made me respond to his first message.

Since then, he has kept all messages polite, non-crude, yes we have discussed some likes and dislikes

A normal conversation has proved to show a few common interests and like for like traits, and guess what? we're meeting next week! I can't say better than that
