In my experience they make me harder, not harder for longer. It's not advisable to wear one for more than 20mins due to them causing damage to the soft tissue in the penis, there's also a small risk of toxins building up in the blood due to reduced flow.

But a silicone "universal fit" one first to see how you get on with it before moving up to a metal one.
