One of the female bodybuilders walked in to our gym yesterday (an all men's gym). All i'm saying is phwoaaar!

..i'd like to think i'm both. Then again, i'm the sort of person who likes a cuddle at the end of the night. I just look like a nutjob lol

I said no such thing, I'm well aware that most strongman competitors in the world don't have six packs, in fact the body can carry a much larger amount of muscle when also carrying substantial fat - I've read that Sumo wrestlers have more lean muscle mass than any other athlete in the world.

I love big built men (partly as I'm not small myself) Dense, well muscled guys with a bit of body fat are my thing, not ripped muscular guys with 6 packs which is a good thing, as I couldn't pull a guy like that anyway

Women like toned fit guys on here in the main you will always get those who want different but as a toned guy I get far more offers than the average guy.

Its the women who think they are perfect who are the biggest turn off. The typical mutton pretending to be younger but with more wrinkles round their neck than your toes have after 4 hours in the bath. The reality here is no perfection though some spend thousands trying to get there.

i was actually thinking more along the lines of the actual women that spend a lot of time in the gym to keep a certain figure that society deems is 'prefect' and they know it, and play on it, and make anyone else feel insecure by being a little too nasty.

i couldnt care less about those that THINK they are gorgeous and i dont think they are, because its all about perception and good looking is subjective.

much prefer those that leave it up to others to say they think theyre cute or whatever

On the flipside, looking at womens body shapes, I don't have a type... I always found it easy to say yeah, I like this and I like that... but it's so easy to take somebody who you just wouldn't think you'd go for, but the way the entire package fits together is sometimes like a gorgeous little dream

I think large parts of the time, the bodyshape subconciously represents the kind of personilty you think is in front of you, but it's just often not the case. So I'll take you all home

As we've said earlier "like attracts like" but that may not be a preference it's probably just what they're more comfortable with.

Perhaps larger women find the muscular gym guy very desirable but it takes them out of their comfort zone, in as much as they think he'd be comparing them to the girls in the gym but that isn't always so.

When Trace and I were both into bodybuilding there were times when it did make it awkward to meet non gym goers.

Both sexes seemed to think they'd have to be buff, or that we'd be comparing their bodies, which was rubbish.

As for vanity, that didn't come into it, we did it because that's what we wanted for us.

PS: Cuteness is for puppies and guinea pigs not men!

I've got muscles but the majority of my meets describe me as very cuddly.

I've even been called the best cuddles ever :D

Cuddles need a good bit of muscle, nothing like a nice pair of strong arms to make you feel secure :p

I prefer a slim build in a man and have on our profile that I only play with slim men. Pointed this out to a couple earlier who wanted to meet (male was described as ample) and was told that I had some neck in saying it and that the saying pot kettle black sprung to mind. Yes I am fat (because that is basically what ample means isn't it?!?) but surely that doesn't mean that I am only allowed to play with men of the same build??? Or is that a whole different thread?!? xx

I'm a big girl and dont go for big men. My profile, my preference. I'm a huge admirer of fit muscly men. You can go for who you want to. Take no notice of him. He was just peeved at being turned down!

You could pull almost any type on here, doesnt mean you will like them as a person though because its not all just about looks, you have to like them a bit as well.

If cuddly means soft, squishy and fat then no, that is not for me. Don't like guys who are too muscular but like them lean, toned and ripped. Oh and with a gorgeous face to match as well.

I am all the way cuddly, or husky, chunky stocky, well built if you are being nice and just plain fat if you are being honest! Ha

But I own it, I dont make excuses for it, I am confident in how I am, how I look and what I am capable of - and fully accept that women like what women like. Some like their big guys with muscles, some like them with more gut (my kinda women)

As for the whole 'its personality that counts' thing - personally I have to be physically attracted to someone in order to have sex with them, but they also have to have a personality that doesn't make me want to throw rocks at their face.

The world would be a fucking boring place if we all liked the same thing.

Besides, if all of the women who like us cuddly guys dry up, I can switch sides. I would totally fucking ROCK the whole Bear Scene....

Good thread to read with some interesting and amusing responses.

Have to say from my experience on here over a couple of years this place does for the large part exist in a parallel universe ostensibly because of the inordinate male/female ratio. I can't say I've read a female profile yet that said "I'm open to body size, not necessarily looking for Chippendale types it's more about what's between the ears".......I have though seen dozens of profiles with "looking for muscley guys, love a nice six pack, mmmm forces guys/Rugby guys etc etc".

This is a result of the parallel world analogy, females know they can be prescriptive and still essentially get what they want, no matter what they look like and I guess who can blame them?

Rugby build for the win in my limited experience.

And most of my preferred demographic seem to prefer a bulkier build.

But my friends, both slimmer and cuddlier, who don't have broken noses and 'odd' ears seem to do very well for themselves

I work out 3 times a week but that's just to stay healthy as a dad I want to be able to keep up with my son..I went through the vanity stage in my 20s it's easy to get sucked into..but I'm happy with my soft spots..they're a good place to rest..I think with age you accept what you've got..you're thankful for it..and its nice to chill out...
