I think with all the different phones and apps you need a few, I got kik, Skype, what'sapp, bbm, snap chat the list is endless. Oh Andover course the convention text or phone call

We use it keeps us through some boring work days lol. Message us for our username. We also enjoy snapchat, as we can set how,ling someone sees a pic and you get a notification if they do a screenshot.

Kik should show when a user is online/offline. Also when they try to add you. They should say how they know you, maybe click on an option? That will sort the spam out.

WhatsApp is only 69 pence a year, hardly going to break the bank! Plus it's free for the first year.

I used to have kik but haven't used it in over a year, still get emails telling me I have messages but have forgotten all my details!

I deleted mine 2 week's ago as it kept slowing my phone down to freezing point. I miss it, cause you could chat without having to save a number in yr phone but it was so unreliable. I use wassapp now

you should be okay and im sure you can change back if you go into settings in phone , dont allow it access to contacts
