Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

If I was the "victim", I'd be flattered - at worst I'd send a bit of a pisstake message to the "thief", but unless it's the entire content, where's the harm?

I did come across a fems profile that was almost word for word the same as mine..... She joined the site after me and as the part that was 'similar' to mine has been there from day 1, I wrote to her and asked if she'd copied mine in a light hearted way.

She took it well and we had a laugh over it but she denied copying mine.... I took it as a compliment that she liked my wording of 'long lingering kisses and slow sensual loving' lol

I don't know how it happened but she ended up on my friends list!!! lol

Strange how things work out!

Reading my original post, it doesn't make clear that we're talking about copying of profile content.

(for those that didn't see another thread that had to be pulled)

Happened to me too a while ago, the whole thing (not what I've got there now obviously, lol). I was a bit annoyed to be honest. It's not really on is it, it isn't their words, and it wasn't written about them.

taking bits (or all in some cases it seems) of text iesnt seem too bad but some people have their pictures taken and used on other profiles - -thats just plain wrong

Sure pictures is worse, but still. If you've taken the time to write something and make it personal too, seems a touch more than cheeky in my opinion

Depends on what you're plagiarising.

If I'd plagiarised my thesis or any articles I've submitted through my work without any attribution then I'd expect to be struck off the register
