It would depend on whether or not they were alone or with others or if we were...nothing worse than trying to think on your feet if someone asks you how you know someone. If we met their eye and they clearly did not want to be greeted, we absolutely wouldn't and possibly send them a message later to explain...

Depends on the situation but if it was a very local man then it would have been something I'd have asked about during our meet.

I nearly put my foot in it once when I saw one of my meets in a small local town. I was just about to say hi then noticed the girlfriend/wife he forgot to mention walking just behind him

Think I'd try to at least give a nod of acknowledgement, but yeah a message on here later if they were with people just to say I did see them but didn't want to create any awkwardness

My House

We've met while out shopping, smiled said hi and consequently made the decision to never meet local again. I'm actually quite shy when not on a meet so my blush could have powered all the streetlights in my town

Not strictly in tune with thread, but had an affair when I was married and bumped into my bit when with my wife at time and totally ignored her. I did forget to mention I was attached and it didnt wash that i was shopping with my sister. End of a good arrangement too.
