After seeing a young girl of just 18yrs in the most fabs section,

Am I the only one feeling its a bit young for swinging?

Maybe 21yrs should be the bench mark what do others think?

Yeah and maybe the cut off should be 43 for men as that seems a bit old

I think that its a personal thing and some people will be mature enough at 18.

Why should age matter? We're not 21 yet but we both have a great time.

Sorry, got to do the ' I'm older and a bit wiser' line

It does worry me when people are very young, you really don't know how this will affect you

OMG I knew I was too old.... but 10 years too old ?

Seems I was too old when fab was invented on that theory.

We've always said if we feel any part of this is negative for us or if one of us ever gets jealous then we'll stop immediately. We could stop tomorrow and be fine, but it's fun and we're both comfortable with each other playing with other people as long as we're in the same room.

It concerns me a but too, but 18 year olds do lots of things that concern me and there isn't a thing I can do about it. I just hope that the teenagers that are in here are mature enough to cope, from some of the things I've seen in the forums they are.as mature as some much older people.

Personally i wouldn't go there. I find it a tad unnerving how many men seem to think its ok to go there

But if its consensual & informed Im keeping my nose out

I'm almost 19

I've experienced enough to know what I'd like to do!

As long as someone's of the legal age and it's what they want it shouldn't matter

you can't judge people by age as most people mature at different ages i'm 18 and i think i'm mature for my age but i guess that's for other people to decide

It's a personal adult choice but I just wonder that if you want to swing to get your kicks at 18...what are you going to do to get your kicks at 30,40,50......??

But you could say that about anything and it also implies that swinging is something you turn to only after you've experienced everything else.

Hmm if only that were true, there are lots of people who are doing it because someone else wants them to

I'm never really sure why some people still insist on equating emotional maturity with age.

While it;s true s0me 18 year olds lack the emotional maturity to swing, it's true for plenty far older.

As ever if it's not for you pass them by. I find it weird that some people feel that it's perfectly acceptable to become someone else's moral guardian

I don't think expressing concern is becoming a moral guardian really.

I initially joined the site and met people when I was 19 and never felt that emotional maturity was an issue at all. I don't see why it would be an issue at all.

That may have been because the first meet I had was with a couple of lovely people who really couldn't have been nicer and gave me a lot of good advice but I don't see age making too much of a difference.

Thanks all!!

its been a good response.

Ive got to admit there are alot of very mature 18yr olds etc and of course they've every right to have fun.

as long as it is fun !!

I think having kids make you look at some a little protective.
