If you're going to put 'want to meet over next few days genuine guys only' it might be a good idea to not lead someone on all day then ignore and put as status update you're meeting someone. And yes I know I'm gonna get the usual 'women/couples can make the rules here' responses but if a single guy did it he'd be pilloried.

well, if you think you are the only bloke couples that are looking for meets, is chatting to, then you are in for a huge shock, my friend.

when people put up for meets, they generally get lots of messages.

they then correspond with a few, and pick the most suitable from them.

its unfortunate that they werent a little more nice to have ended it properly, instead of just ignoring you, but you are probably better off not meeting such rude people.

I've actually been on and off here for 3 years. Have had (and removed for personal reasons) public pics up. My point was that I responded to a request for 'genuine' guys, spent the day messaging very (as I thought) positively back and forth. Then about an hour or so before she said she was free she went quiet. Then the update she was meeting someone! I accept we all have choices and I respect that - but I think 'genuine' cuts both ways.

nothing says they werent genuine, in fact, the point they are meeting someone proves they are genuine.

as said, they were probably chatting to you and 2 others and chose the best out of the 3.

it just wasnt you this time.

The other side would be interesting to hear too.

Just my little tale. I put up three meet dates this month. I spent time chatting to people, made my choices and spoke to them all on the phone and arranged to meet. I haven't had a meet this month. Men do it to women too.

It happens. People make their choices and get on with it.

Until the meet has been arranged nothing is lost. When the meet has been arranged and they don't show then that is a timewaster.

I'm failing to see how them meeting someone else rather than you somehow equates to them not being "genuine"?

They decided you weren't the one to meet. Get over it. Move on. And maybe lose the ugly sense of entitlement that is prevalent in these posts.

I would guess that they were chatting/emailing to more than one person and chose to meet someone other than you ..... plain simple choice or preference on her part ... it dont mean shes not genuine !

Agree with most of whats been said however, if I had been chatting to someone all day with a view to meeting then changed my mind in favour of someone else I would have let the first person know and not just ignored him.

why don't you just publicly name them and we can all message them and give them a severe talking to and advice on their future conduct. or alternatively quit whinging and move on. .... just a thought.

She was not just chatting to you and someone else got in there before you.
