Is there a difference between a house party that is held very regularly where there is a significan charge for sgl males to attend ( but no restriction on the amount of attendees) yet sgl fems etc are free. And someone running a money making business? Opinions?

I think there is a difference. I know a couple who regularly have house parties, but ask for admission fee from all who attend, but htey supply all drink (both soft drinks and alcoholic)they also provide a very nice buffet that is topped up regularly, so they do it to cover the costs of what they fork out for the party.

Take how much they spent out, divide by the number of people attending & that is how much you pay. xx

Nah.

Parties should be free or a contribution; which ALL agree too. (minimum costs covered no profit)

Organised profit run nights, charging single men; are something different.

Women are free as without them no party. Single guys could outnumber couples if no restrictions and lots of couples we know would not go to a party if too many single guys. We have organised parties in past and it is hard work. We charged as we had to rent the property. Found no problem with a small fee from those that attended but we were always out of pocket.
