Is Oral sex (Fellatio or Cunninglus) safe?

Hi friends

I love cunninglus very much but not sure how to do it safely. Vaginal sex can be made safe by using condom.

However, cunninglus involves mouth and STD/HIV can still be transmitted by vagina precum, as per the NHS and other doctors.

So I thought of raising this concern to all the fellow swingers here and see if this can be discussed constructively.

I am happy to take the risk with oral, I am very aware if I have mouth ulcers I abstain but overall: I am a sucker for a big cock.

No its not entirely safe - the risk can be lessened with the use of condoms or some choose to take the risk.

I dont perfom BJs with a condom

Why don't people use condoms for oral too as NHS/doctors recommend?

Does it reduce pleasure?

I got told by a dominatrix friend that 90% of stds/stis were transmitted orally... So I asked at the GUM when I went for a checkup... I got told ot takes 7 litres of saliva... Why 7 I dunna.. And the only was of catching anything would need you to have an open wound infected :-/

Does it mean that if you are sure that your partner is clean and safe and u dont have any ulcers or any wounds in mouth, oral sex is completely safe?

Sorry I didn't understand that 7 litres thing completely

It's a much lower risk .. also it's almost impossible to say someone caught hiv from oral as most people will have engaged in both oral and penetrative sex too...

I would rather abstain than give oral with a condom on... It totally spoils it.

What I have understood so far is that, we know that there is a risk but as it is lower so desires win.

I think I will also give oral but to one regular partner. In that way, it will be safe provided the partner is also clean..

The GUM clinic are right up to a certain point, if a person's got an std you could catch it orally but this is very rare.

If a person swallows pre cum, vaginal fluids or spunk yes you would need gallons of the stuff...this includes them having HIV, HEB A,B,C.

Of the many people we have met or worked with over the years we have never known a case of an std caught orally, it can happen to some poor sod so if you are that bothered use a condom or a dental dam.
