I have asked tumblr to take the site down, as I believe it's a violation of privacy.

Can't post links on here, but who knows why? This is about the fabs community and we should be sticking together on this. But if I post the link I'll probably get banned.

Although it is the site who has the pics is the one that you need to be reporting to, last time something like this happened Admin sent them a mail too...it worked that time and the page was removed.

I am guessing added that to the people power of everyone reporting it helps things along

Its a shame they've password protected it now, although I guess if you join Tumblr you can still access it. If you go onto their Privacy page and click the copyright link there's a form on there to report using the link for the pics. Its a pain in the bum but probably worth doing.

been a few therds on hear about fab pics on other sites etc, I don't know if its a generation thing or some thing but any way, people should ether except that if you put pictures up people are going to collect them use them on their on site etc, or dont put any up, and remember what goes on the net stays on the net, I have no problem with people knowing what i do, but if you do have a problem with that for what ever reason then what ever you do, don't upload the pictures in the first place. The people that own the fab web site have no ability to safe guard you pictures its just not possible to stop people taking screen shots etc !!

Seriously, ALL pictures, every single one of them, are controlled by Copyright. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE other than yourself can post or reproduce ANY picture you see anywhere on the web without prior written consent or by tacit agreement through a EULA. Even pics here on fabs. By uploading them onto this site, by allowing the pictures to be made 'public' on this site you give legal clearance to Fabs however, that does NOT mean anyone else can use, copy, reproduce on other sites or printed copy. Tumblr will have taken those pics down or locked the blog by now, they will be worried of the legal repercussions and accusations.

I genuinely feel for all those whose faces were exposed by this. Its a shame we have to hide because of public perceptions or social conventions just because we are in touch with ourselves and those things that make us happy.

Damn, some of those couples were on our hot list too, now I fear they will hide their profiles and run into the shadows until all this blows over.

"been a few therds on hear about fab pics on other sites etc, I don't know if its a generation thing or some thing but any way, people should ether except that if you put pictures up people are going to collect them use them on their on site etc, or dont put any up, and remember what goes on the net stays on the net, I have no problem with people knowing what i do, but if you do have a problem with that for what ever reason then what ever you do, don't upload the pictures in the first place. The people that own the fab web site have no ability to safe guard you pictures its just not possible to stop people taking screen shots etc !!"

The other thing to remember is that Tumblr is huge, and cannot monitor their blogs 24/7, so reporting really does work in this case. The DCMA is very clear that people hold the copyright to their own pictures, but proving they are your own is the key. Luckily, the doubt seems to be in our favour with Tumblr who have probably had a good look at the blog, seen all the Fabswinger watermarks, and taken the site down.

If you don't report, nothing will be done.

Having said that, this was almost certainly done by a Fabswinger member and I think that's sad. The amount of trust that needs to happen within the swinging community is huge, and one person just gave it a huge knock. Boo to them!

If private pictures were taken that's a very serious issue for this site. I'm guessing that either the photos taken were public or at the worst available to friends and taken via a 'friend', and therefore not private.

Either way seems like something the site owners ought to be providing some sort of assurance on.

We have blocked the link being sent through the site since this looks largely like a scam that is going to charge people for access to "check" if their photos are there.

*** Common net sense indicates you shouldn't upload anything to any site on the internet that you'd be upset if it ended up elsewhere ***

We can assure people that there has been no breach of privacy on the site, i.e. if you've marked a photo as private the only people who have seen it are those you've PM'd it to. Ditto with friend pics.

No mods can see private pictures, only Admin.

Anyone with concerns can use CONTACT link to contact us direct.
