First I will hold my hands up and say 'Yes I have gone bareback in the heat of the moment'

I also know that most men I have met will have gone bareback but there is something about a man displaying proud veris from women who only bareback about how he filled her with spunk and posting pics of various women being fucked bareback, it makes my skin crawl and turns me right off.

I think it because they are flaunting it as if they are proud of it with no regard to their health let alone anyone elses. When I have had a whoops moment, I panic and hate it afterwards.

Well in my humble opinion, I will always opt for safe sex, each and every time. I would not consider BB unless we were both tested on the day together and even then probably wouldn't go BB. If I was in a relationship then I would go BB but we both would have been regularly tested and any prospective partners would also use condoms as a must.

I guess it is a case of out of sight out of mind and I can improve my safety by avoiding those men who wear the bareback badge with pride.

Generally I meet men who don't even need prompting to wrap up and have condoms on the side ready so hope it is because it is second nature to them.

I always say, I didn't survive cervical cancer to get a dose.

Exactly, when I have had a whoops, it ruins the feeling the next day as I sit and worry about it. Those who bareback and are proud about it probably don't worry as they don't care. xx

Lessen the risk by telling him you won't take it in your mouth. It doesn't rule the risk out completely but it's proactive for your own health's sake.

there is a high risk the man can get a sti off a BJ, if the woman has caught it in her mouth off some one else, not many think of this before a BJ, and the woman can still get an infection in her mouth and throat.

The thing that gets me about these threads is that nearly everyone comes out with the same old wives tales and whenever I try to post the facts I get told I'm wrong because aids charities and the government say so...

And of course we all know that the government and special interest groups never lie to us!

Shame is the truth is available on the net if you look but most are too lazy to find out exactly what the risks are and how to reduce or remove them.

I would also point out that if all the hype about HIV was true most of Africa would be depopulated by now. Clearly it is not, so maybe rather than pointing fingers and trotting out the mantra that has been trotted out for 30 years people who swing should start using their brains and finding out the truth!

Would you actually use one though.. I know I wouldnt.. and what about bj with condoms.. would you.. I know I certainly wouldn't.

As to bare back. I'm sure those choosing to don't think oh fuck it... Yes maybe some do but I spent much of ny early years having sex without protection.. only really started a few years ago .. yes my tests were nerve wracking but it was my choice.

The debated risks of sti,s through oral sex is confusing. Yes there is a risk of course, the mouth is more durable and contains bacteria to fight infections as well as stomach acid etc.

I just wish that the medical profession would come clean ( excuse the pun) as to the risks.

I know a lady how has had numerous partners in the hundreds as a working girl and through dogging etc. she never uses a condom for oral and has never caught a thing , proven with regular check ups. Now is this just good luck on her behalf.

The medical profession can only publish statistics. On the studies carried out many people who caught an infection had indulged in oral and penetrative sex in the same session, therefore how you possibly be certain of the mode of transmission of bacteria.

You can't collect accurate data as you can only collate information on the oral risks by those only indulging in oral. The numbers are going to be lower than those indulging in oral and penetrative sex. It could be that oral risks are higher than figures stated.

Yes and we know how statistics can be interpreted. The thing I was highlighting is the ambiguity especially on the net and that includes the majority of medical sites. Some say the risk is lower others say different. I use protection for penetrative always so I will let you know if I catch anything orally lol
