The onus is mostly on individuals to present themselves as someone others would want to get to know.

Groups of people who have met each other and chat often are obviously going to be closer to one another than those that don't. That's basic human behaviour.

Just get stuck in and chat. Or don't. And whine about the cliques. Your choice really.

The old cliquey chestnut - make friends instead of whining about it

I knew no one on here but made the effort to interact in chat and now I know loads of people. It's only cliquey if you sit on the sidelines expecting everyone to jump at the chance of talking to you.

You have to make the effort. And chat, not be smutty

beleive you me i have no affinity to anyone on here, and say things how i see them and not to please anyone.

what evidence do you have of any cliques?

there are people on here that have developed friendships, but dont always agree

Usually people complain the forum is cliquey, but the whole site? How would you know? Message every member?

The only clique I am in is me. I meet a few men regularly because they fulfil what I after on here. If others do not wish to meet me for whatever reason then I don't lose sleep about it. And I don't accuse them of things I have no way of knowing.

a persons perception of whether the forums are cliquey or not will entirely depend on their experience of them and if they feel its so that opinion is valid.

I think as with any site people are sceptical of the newly joined considering so many are fake. Once they are verified and eventually have chatted to a few people then people become accepted a lot more. I guess it's more if a chat room and forum thing.

Personally I've been in here over 2 years and met a lot if great people that I still chat to. I guess you put the hours in and reap the rewards but that's the same with any "friendship"

it can also seem cliquey to people who aren't natural joiners or who often express an opinion at odds with the majority. Anyone who notices in jokes or the occasional thread which starts "some of you will know" might feel that way too. Cliques aren't bad or wrong, they are a natural part of human behaviour and they do exist here as they do in any large group of people who interact regularly.

Maybe I was too quick, but I was talking about chat rooms, I've been to a few clubs with a lady friend meet lots of great people, and had afew meets onmy own maybe I should of just specified in the chatrooms, soon as you disagree with someone who's a regular in there, nothing nasty just typical discussion too many people like to jump in and kiss their arse I'd you know what I mean
