How long to wait?

Hi all,

We have a rare weekend away and have contacted a couple to see if they like the look of us and are free to have some fun.We contacted them 24hrs ago....message was read about 20hours ago and they have logged in several times since reading the message but no reply back

Question is since we are looking for some fun on Friday, and we dont want to send out multipule requests to meet,how long should we reasonably wait before trying someone else?

I'd try a few more people who interest you now and arrange to meet the first to get back to you.

It would be a shame to wait too long and miss the opportunity to meet anyone.

But if we do that "sods law" will say that we have to say to another couple that we have found someone else....not nice and not our style!!

Happens to us quite a bit and we've thought same as you, just how long do you wait ?

I would say if no response within say, 8hours of them reading your email (maybe that only of them has seen it and is at work etc etc) then I'd forget it.

Dont think you're being too picky, maybe too considserate !!

there is no steadfast rule, as long as you give adequate notice.

the thing is, did this other couple say they were available friday or did you message on the offchance?

would cast the net and go with the first that confirm.

you will just have to say 'sorry, someone else confirmed before you replied, but if you are happy we can try and organise something for another time' or why not do a small gathering?

Could be a number of reasons why they haven't replied!

It's your decision........ Put a meet request up and attract more interest in getting the meet you want when you want!

Or

Wait for said couple to reply, and maybe not get a meet!

everything is about communication, they are obviously waiting to see if something better comes up, because they have been logged on, much better to ask once again, then move on and look for someone else, it isn't about your style, its about making best use of limited time and having fun

Thanks for all advise.

We did contact them on the off chance.

We are having a weekend away in the Cotswolds and enjoy some fun when away so will be a while before we are back here and because we don't mess other people about and like to reply to all our messages we didn't put a meet on for ourselves since we didn't want to have to check messages and reply during our stay.

We did contact two others....both of which haven't logged in since we messaged them!!

Sometimes you are successful....sometimes not

We had some sexy,messy fun in our hotel room from which we are both buzzing and J still cleaning up
