Love them , hate them or ignore them? I personally love getting winks and also giving winks as i think its a great way to show interest and break the ice ad opposed to writing a nice message to not even get a reply......what are other fabsters views on this?

I will mostly respond to winks ( ), but I wouldn't ever send one with the expectation of anything back - for most women and couples they are just background noise!

I tend to wink if a persons pictures seem interesting but their profile text is so empty there's nothing really you can use to write a proper message to, other than something really generic.

I often use winks as a general ice breaker if I receive one back then will send a message if not I'm not offended I just move on to the next potential playmate

Obviously I was desperate to get my point across - apologies for the double post

I don't mind them,I understand it must be frustrating for guys to have lots of their messages deleted or ignored, and im not the sort of person that demands a personalised message of war and peace proportions as an introductory hello

If the wink comes from a profile im interested in then ill wink back, after that ill expect a message from them

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I choose not to send winks,,,

if a lady or couples profile has piqued my interest enough I ll send a message, its more personal its tailored to them and I think the investment in time is worth it, if its deleted without response,,, I console myself knowing that I ve done all that I can,,,

If I receive a wink I m always happy to I ll reply with a message,

I dont usually realise I have a wink until some days later - it would be nice if some kind of alert popped up when you got one instead of having to go to the main page to check if you had one....

Zurich. NOT London.

I'm never quite sure what to do with them. As I, female half does pretty much all the internet stuff, I have to wait and show the other half (we both work away so not always in the same place) So, yes a wink is nice but it can take me/us a couple of weeks to do anything about them. I almost feel like I should send a 'your wink is appreciated, we with get back to you as soon as practicable' email!

A wink or a pic fab is like a glimpse across a crowded room. If it's someone or some people I like the look of I'll drop a mail saying thanks or hi. If it's not then I don't and they haven't wasted too much of their time letting me know they liked what they saw.

And for those of you who have read my profile....no puppies were harmed in the making of my sex life.

Now you gotta go take a look!

consider winks on here to be like smiling in the real world.

Just because they wink doesn't mean they have any interest it could be for any reason, because in the past we have replied to winks and been ignored.

So unless people message us with a message of content, we ignore all winks and friend requests.

I don't mind them. I'll often wink if I spot a profile I'm interested in and will wink/message a wink if I receive one from a profile that sparks an interest too...just a simple way to say 'hi, would you like to know more?'

I use winks as an icebreaker.

I don't receive many but would always reply to one by winking back or a thank you message.
