I found waxing really pulled my skin. So I now epilate. Have to take your time and it takes a while for your skin to get used to it, but I find it far less painful and easier to keep on top of than waxing.

Having an extra hand helps to keep the skin flat though!

I know everyone is different, but if it helps anyone, here is my epilator experience:

The way I do it is to trim the area to maybe 3mm-4mm then just do a small area at a time, pulling the skin tight/smooth.

Once done, unlike waxing you can go back over the same area as much as you like to get bits you missed, and you can keep everywhere permanently smooth by just keeping on top of regrowth.

The first few times I did this the skin unsurprisingly reacted badly to having the hair ripped out at the roots - but now it is easy, pretty painless and very manageable, with perfectly smooth, stubble-free bits!

For those who don't mind stubble/regrowth, I have heard that Magic Powder works a dream

Depends where you're waxing...done the bottom half of my legs with no real problems...anywhere more intimate and you might not be able to hold the skin taut enough or get the right angle...tried once, gave myself horrendous bruising, didn't try it again...
