Works for some.

Between that and writing a message, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

I tend to use both. What I have discovered (and what you can 100% rely on) is that people are different and will like different things.

Mix it up and hope for the best!

kinky heaven

We use it as 1st point of contact,we don't email people 1st.

Saying that we haven't met anyone yet, just building up rapport if it means anything.

I think it's a decent way of saying that you like the look of someone. The most fun I've had on here has started with a wink.

On the other hand, some people get really @rsey about them and will block just on having seen a wink. To those I say....Lighten up.

Lol. Keep looking mate. You'll be fine.

This simply highlights that sometimes you just can't win with some people!

I've been accused of sending unwanted winks, problem is I have an ocular twitch, what's a guy to do.

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

Theres no right or wrong answer,,, its a feature the site provides some use some don t, some dislike them,,

I dont send winks, thats a personal choice, I do like to receive them along with messages and fabs, it tells me someone likes something about me,

if I do receive them I ll message the Lady or couple ,,

i like them...

i tend to wink if i like the look of someone as a sign of appreciation who doesn't necessarily fit what w're looking for, or us them, but just to say "hey"

We used to just mass delete winks but have started looking at them.

Will wink back if they are localish and we like what they see. Then leave the ball in their court to message us....

I clearly state why I would wink on my profile and when I get a wink I search for that explanation on the user's profile. It helps me decide what my next move will be..99.9% of the time I ingore...but then there is that one 'wink' that tells me exactly what the person means and there is no 'Grey' area.

Straight forward and to the point is how I was brought up. Pussy footing aroung makes me edgy and uncomfortable. I need thing to be clear

I notice quite a few couples use winks as their first engagement with me. I then reply back to say 'hi, thanks for the wink, what can I do for you? Here are some pics' Or something like that. They then either continue on to messaging or just don't reply. Either way it's cool.

So winks are fine with me. However I rarely use them myself as a form of engagement.

Some of my best meets have started with a wink.

Up on them there hills

Mmm I tend to react, like I would if a person winked (was going to say normal life) face to face. I find them intriguing
