Hello. First post so play nice please.

So what do you wish you knew about your self when you were younger that you know now?

For me its that I'm actually a very good kisser and that brings confidence! How much more fun could have been had...

I'm often heard to be saying I wish I had the body I had then, with the confidence I have now.

It's true to an extent, I was very shy when I was a teenager, yet had a slim size 10 figure. Now I know what I can do, but I'm a little fatter (size 16ish), don't get me wrong, I still enjoy myself, but to have that figure again!!

Which came first the curves or the confidence? And any correlation or just chance?

Thank you for that but it's about how we see ourselves when young isnt it ....as a kinda well known poet from up here said..

'O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us'

Looking back at old photos now I think hey ...you were okay! but I grew up and actually for most of my adult life, thought of myself as gangly and very geeky, as another mentioned though it's down to confidence and I guess that's what was sorely missing. If you dont have that you have nothing.

I was actually just talking to someone just 20 mins ago about past and present insecurities, and it is crazy that gorgeous, intelligent, highly-sexual people so often still have silly insecurities!

I was actually just talking to someone just 20 mins ago about past and present insecurities, and it is crazy that gorgeous, intelligent, highly-sexual people so often still have silly insecurities!"

It starts wayyyyy back lol I had a father who would snigger at how I would dress to go out as a young teenager, I was a late developer still wearing a vest at 14 lol while my peers were budding, so many things were based on looks, body shape etc it was hard not to feel inadequate ....the older I get the more I realise it doesn't matter a fig what anyone else thinks, the only thing that matters is being comfortable in your own skin

When i was a teen i always saw myself as very ugly and gangly as im tall and was very skinny with no curves.

I regret not understanding love and its basis in passion and that sex is something else. (i.e. I wish I'd even known about swinging)

That I was actually quite pretty/attractive in my teens/early 20's but I never met anybody who was into curvier women then so was immensely insecure which affected my confidence. Then I found an alternative site (SH) after a bad break up in my early 20s and that there are actually men who love a curvier woman.

I still struggle with self confidence and do anything to cover up the tummy but once I meet someone a few times it gets better ands better.

I wish in 1987 I had spent my 2 weeks Leave from NI in buying that brand new flat for 20K as my Mum suggested rather than going on an 18-30s holiday in Menorca as my testicles suggested

Oh and to not worry about getting rejected by girls so much.

Better to regret what you,ve done than on missed opportunities

I wish I'd known I was Bisexual back then, looking back with the wisdom of hindsight. There were times when other women were hitting on me but I didn't realise it at the time - wasted opportunities for horny fun
