I think that ALL people who sign up to join swingers should have to take a reading test!

It has become very obvious to us that people on this site just cannot read, we have a set of requirements for the people we would like to meet, which we have clearly stated on our profile but we still get loads of people contacting us who obviously either cannot read or just cannot be bothered to read our profile. We also get the I know I don't meet your requirements but I thought I would try, well don't bother the answer is NO!

Is it just us, we don't contact couples because we are after a single guy, we don't contact bi or gay people cos we are after a straight guy, we read people profiles to see waht they are after and if we match we contact them, we don't just waste their time.

It's not just you, far from it, have a look through the forums, you will find many a thread stating quite the same.

Unfortunately some people don't read profiles properly, if at all, it's just one of those things, like with life, we have to take the rough with the smooth.

We received a message a little while back saying they liked our profile, and would we be interested in a meet, all our profile said was 'not looking for a meet right now', no pictures or anything else. lol

lol just had a message from someone who didnt meet our profile requests - they then say they have another couple meeting them too - just find it all really odd think you are right they dont just stop at not reading your profile they dont even read your messages either!1

Read your profile.... After I got past the first section - the one that looks like the DO NOT poster you get in swimming baths - I took a few minutes to watch some Eastenders Christmas Special clips to cheers myself up, then went on....

I suspect the application form for the SAS is less demanding.

We know what we like!

Our profile CLEARLY states what we are after, this has reduced the amount of people who are outside our requirements, we have also made it quite clear so that we don't waste peoples time in contacting us who we would have no intention of meeting anyway!!!

Trouble is, some people see these kind of sites and the profiles here as free sex, they read some story sleezified in the news of the world and think swinging is their answer to getting more sex (or getting sex generally), they don't understand the mind of a 'swinger' and assume it's an offer of some pussy, so look at the pics and fancy their chances.

Just a generalisation of course.

OP - how many times do you buy a new piece of equipment and read the instructions from cover to cover before you even switch it on ? I'd like to bet that the answer would be 'never' or 'not very often'

It's human nature not to read instructions fully, we take a chance and see if we can operate it without the need of boring instructions.

I think exactly the same applies here, some may skip through a profile, reading the bits that interest them and ignoring the bits that don't, then they'll take a chance and send a message - who knows thay might just get lucky by taking a chance.

But at the end of the day, it's not the end of the world, it's no big deal if someone messages you that doesn't comply with your requirements - just ignore the message and read the next one......

We have the same problem. We get 20yr olds wanting to play. Good god, I have a child nearly that age and it just wouldn't feel right!!! Bring on the reading test!!!!

It's hardly a chore hitting the delete message button, many of us suffer the constant barrage of messages that don't meet our requirements.....but choose not to make such a fuss about it....takes a couple of seconds to delete.

I understand what your saying but I think your analogy is wrong, look at it another way when you by a new car you read the brochure to see if it fits your requirements. The user manual comes after that in how to use it, I hope everyone on here know what to do at a meet..lol

I know it's not hard to delete these people, it's just very very annoying, already blocked 10 people today..lol

But on the positive side we have met some GREAT genuine friends on this site, who make up for this annoyance.

Don't get us wrong we love to here from new people, but we do like to chat to people who we would like to meet and thats why we state our rquirements.

Unfortunately most people dont read profiles and never will no matter how many times one puts a forum on here. I've also set requirements so why do i get single guys wanting a meet when it clearly states that i do 2 jobs and cant meet at the drop of a hat, takes planning

think really they believe that swinging is all about sex anytime anyplace and women will have sex with anyone NOT

I think you will find they can read but as you say they cannot be bothered reading profiles. I also think some people read the profiles but think you will make an excption for them. I am sure some people just use copy and paste and then mail as many profiles as they can.

If they don't meet the requirements you put in your profile they are timewasters. If a couple puts no singles males in their profile and a single male mails them then surely that single male is wasting the couples time?

In that case then 99.9% of the people that mail me you would class as timewasters then, even though I don't think they are what we want I would'nt consider them that

I think people take things far too seriously on here as regards to what is a timewaster and what is'nt

Also there is filter system that blocks single guys from messaging people that are'nt looking for them

So instead of screaming in capitals across a profile NO SINGLE GUYS a 100 times just click a button and you won't have a problem

No,not at all.

We get emails of people sometimes who are not what we are looking for,no hardship for us to delete an email.

To us timewasters are people who dont show for a meet without cancelling or letting us know.

The problem is guys DO NOT READ PROFILES with eyes and brain just cock and hand they want to try reading it instead of looking at pics. So far today I have deleted 12 messages from guys all under my asking age very clear on profile but if more people just do that delete instead of reading may be guys will get message.
