We are going to Jamaica for 15 night next week any one been there to give us an idea what to do and look for. we going as whole family but we can sneak a few nights and do our own thing we guess any advice would be very much appreciated ?

never been, but really wanna go...

hmmm, bob marleys house in nine miles,

eat plenty curry goat n jerk chicken,

chill on the beaches, buy lots of rare reggae cds, goto some dancehalls, drink plenty dragon stout and jb's rum

Sadly we are not into black men but we are hoping to meet some like minded tourist as they will be looking for fun as much as we are

I am sure there is a swinging resort there but having the kids with us was not a good idea to book it there

What part , I went to ochio rios it's very nice I did the dunns river tour if you do go on that tour buy some crocs or similar and take out to Jamaica with you as they rip you of at dunns river

We went to negril and there is hedonism there which you can pay to go to for a day or night but think that is miles from where your going

. X love Jamaica and intend on going back next year. Have a wicked time. X

I went to ocho rios years ago and there was a headanism there next door to where I stayed. We payed for a day permit but after a hour we left! The old guy in the leather erect thong scared us off haha

aw im sooo jealous! I went a few years ago, stayed in Falmouth not far from Montego Bay.

Visited Ocho rios, booked a trip with lunch at the beach cafe then a catermaran cruise, stop for a swim then onto Dunns River falls, then on the way back the crew serve up some rum punch and within 5 minutes everyone is pissed and partying. I can honestly say that was one of the best trips and highly recommend it.

Visited Bob Marley's place and touched his tomb, a must if your a Bob fan maybe not worth the long trip up the mountains if your not that fussed.

Bet prepared for lots of people trying to sell you stuff if your out and about, a simple no thank you should be enough though as the Jamaican's are a welcoming and friendly bunch and love to interact and joke and chat with the tourists (well from my experience anyways)

Just soak up the atmosphere, relax and enjoy, everything 'irie' (get use to hearing that!)

My advice would have been not to have advertised that you will be vacating your property for 15 days, therefore leaving it open to burglary/vandalism etc....

Totally agree especially in light of the recent hacking of personal details from this site. A worry that no one needs in the back of their minds while away on holiday....

Went to negril beach near headanism take american dollars not jamaican and crocs as ocho rios is expensive n dont wander off n get into taxi that just stop as its a very poor country

they get like 80p an hour have to work 12hour shifts modt of the people are really friendly and hard working take cheap jewellery from primark if u dont wanna tip as normal day to day stuff we take for granted is expensive there
