"If I cannot afford to pay for the hotel room or petrol to get to the hotel and back, I do not meet. AHs exist in all walks of life, regardless of socio-economical background, IMHO. " tell me about it, mostly in my town. this place is sooooo money orientated that even after 13 years am still an outsider because i am not rich. i should move, but i cannot afford to, lol

"And how would someone know if the person they are arranging a meet with has money or not? It's certainly not a question that would even cross my mind, never mind my fingers on a keyboard! " Same here. Wealth doesn't necessarily mean monetary wealth nor does monetary wealth bring a classier or more educated sort of person. Monetary wealth obviously widens opportunities but personally, I couldn't care less how much money someone has. I meet people for sex, not to wank on their bank statement.

"I'm not mega rich but am well paid and probably well off by most people's criteria, as such I never mind booking the hotel and paying for it or paying the club entry as it only seems right, I think it's a bit harsh if you've invited someone and they're a bit tight on cash flow to expect them to pay 50% on principle when I can do more So generally money as such makes no difference in who I meet with the exception of profiles that ask for clearly unreasonable 'contributions' off people wanting to meet them" im pretty much the same, im not rich but I have a well paid job and some savings, the guy I used to meet who was unemployed I was happy to pay for the hotel as I liked him and I liked meeting him and I would rather pay the whole bill to meet someone I liked than pass him by to meet someone I may not like as much because they had money to go halves on a room, makes no sense to me I have to admit tho he did start taking the piss after a bit so I stopped meeting him

"I used to meet an unemployed guy and i'd pay for the hotel or club entry fee every time we met so other peoples money does not matter to me" You see I wouldn't do this and I certainly wouldn't expect to be subsidised: it's a hobby, fun, not life and death. I wouldn't meet someone I knew couldn't afford it to the point it affected me. I went to one playmates house and he asked me not to flush the toilet. I asked him why he said he was on a water meter and couldn't afford to waste water. I asked about showering, as I was going to spend the weekend. He said I could but he looked pained: I didn't stay. I wasn't going to travel across London on public transport without showering. For some people that wouldn't be a deal breaker, but if someone can't afford to flush their loo not for me!

"I think flushing the loo and having a shower is pretty much essential for most! " Sadly, not for all!

" no that would be a deal breaker for me but not from the money point of view but from the point of view that if I go to the loo I want to flush it and I would like a shower
