Hilarious. Just had a reply from a woman I messaged telling me she's not interested and doesn't want to hear from me again. Fair enough but she has told me that I have to block her so I don't do it again!!!!!! Suggested that was for her to do and not me lol. Anyone else been told to go block themselves lol?

"Why can't you just block her?"

Why can't she just block him as it was her that suggested it in first place?

Yes she should block him but would save OP accidentally contacting her in the future

He won't be able to if she has blocked him.

Tee hee - Me

I've got to be REALLY hacked off with someone to block them.

If guys have previously applied and we have declined and then they re-apply, I merely point it out and say that maybe they should block us. I just feel a bit rude blocking people

I know a number of men that will block someone they've had a no thanks from to stop them contacting them again.

It was rumoured that the block list only had so many spaces, so those blocked would 'fall off' the end and be able to contact once again in the future.

If only women blocked half the men on this site

It's a bit like telling a random caller to take your phone number off their list, she didn't contact you, it's unlikely she will contact you in the future. Unfortunately many men on here use the many bullets approach. Ie they c n p fields of women, in the hope they will get one shot lucky. In which case they will not remember everyone they emailed.

I've had one gent before, emailed me 3 times in as many weeks, when I pointed this out he apologised and apologised in advance as he was going to block me.

Whats the op's issue with just blocking her?

Because she asked him to block her. Surely if she doesn't want him to contact her it's up to her to block.

...Up on the Downs

I don't like blocking people or being blocked either - I'm an adult, I should be able to remain on good terms with anyone!! But I have to admit I have started to block the guys that come back with their shotgun approach after I have already said no. I certainly wouldn't ask them to block - that's wierd if you ask me. Unless there is a limit to the number we can block and she's reached it?

ooooo this may be the answer. She's turned out to be quite unpleasant so I might block anyway lol.

I've got about 350 on my block list (I block initial messages that don't include a joke) - I seem to remember Pearl (I think) saying she had over 1000 on hers so if there is a limit, it's pretty high!

Well she bothered to reply and say no,

you then returned an email to say you should block me, obviously more emails have gone back and forth

And yet you started it and didn't just respect her no, now complain she is unpleasant lol lol lol

and next time a thread starts why don't women even say thanks but no thanks....

I think the block limit is like the number of pm limit, it's over a 24 hour period but I am really unsure

I personally don't think there would be a limit on blocking , would be very interested to find out what it is if there is.

Put a thread up in site help so will hopefully find out.

I do ask repeat messagers (the ones who send the same cut and paste jobby every couple of weeks) if it would make life easier for me to block them so I don't keep sending no thanks.

Funnily quite a few get a huff and block me after that!

But it is possible to block someone who has blocked you. Either use a message they sent or go to your block list and type their user name in.

I don't know what the limit is for PM either, I know I've never reached it and that includes having long PM convos...can't imagine blocking hundreds in a 24 hour period (unless my PMT was REALLY bad)
