Risking all here ... cynics - people who can't be trusted etc. But .. there are some people on FAB who love taking photos for you - who are reliable - and discrete.

BUT .... why use them ?

I say :-

* Because you can get on with the fun

* Because they can be part of it ( or not as you choose)

* Because there is a lot more to a great picture than just using your mobbie.

So - I htink its about finding people you can trust !

But ... what do you think ?

We used a photographer (well a guy with a camera) to get our profile pics and got much better pics than we would have got trying to do them on our own. He understood that he was not joining in and was very respectful.

We're thinking about doing it again.

A positive response - and it worked out for you which is great. But .. how to tell the good guys ( and that includes me) from those who are going to mess about with your private lives, or just want material for their own pleasures - or worse still - to share ?

Good to hear - and of course, taking your own can be part of the fun.

None of mine are professional all done with mobile phone mainly,I prefer to take them with my phone, yest took a lot pics just sent the cple the pics by whatsapp, when others take them I don't always get them,I've had them a month later or not at all, that annoys me as I'm in them, hence prefer to do them myself x if I find them elsewhere on the net it would annoy me as they taken the trust, but u cannot trust anybody completely, just hope they keep to there word because I certainly do,I delete them or edit them for my use,so always tell the people to keep them safe as originals will be gone

I get offers from professional photographers I always decline as don't want to be in someones portfolio

A lot of good common sense here.

Re portfolio - always ask for some form of release document - this will clarify the rights you are giving - and the obligations of the photographer. Protects the 'tog' against later legal issues - but also protects you.

Ultimately, stick to your guns. Tell a good 'tog' what you expect - and if in doubt - ask him to confirm it in writing.

Personally I wouldn't ask for a release form as choose not to use professionals,it my own hrd cheese if my pics end up on net somewhere,it a risk I take having pics, hence nobody gets into my friends requests that I haven't met first where a lot have my full face, hopefully my friends wouldn't do that to me as I definitely wouldn't to them,

For us taking the pictures ourselves is part of the fun, though Morrigan has done a professional photo shoot for a fetish website she found it fun but not intimate or a turn on. I just couldn't get in front of the camera myself as I wasn't remotely turned on by the situation.

This just goes to show that what is good for some is not good for others. Generally its the exhibitionist people that enjoy showing off, though I have found that mature ladies love it, as do ladies with a fantasy to pose.

Lots of men - single - yes, but I must admit, doing these does nothing for me.

It's not being naked that's the problem, when we go to Xtasia Morrigan is usually walking around the place naked, it's the fact that it's staged with expectation to perform rather than being spontaneous and natural

Not sure I agree with the 'too old' bit - true we collect a few wrinkles - but don't let age be the obstacle to good sex and fun. But ... yes ... if everyone could be trusted it would be good.

much prefer to take them ourselves, that way we are in charge of what they are, and more importantly, where they are.

would NEVER let anyone take risque photos, with faces on, and allow them to have copies.

just wouldnt be happy at all.

we are having a photoshoot with another couple soon, so we will be sharing the piccy taking duties between the guys lol

Hi - if you do want a reliable photographer, then I know of two in your area - one nr gloucester and the other in wiltshire. Both are members on here - and will do a job, reliable, discrete job for you. Mial me on here ( I cannot reply direct because of your age limits)

I think that just goes to prove how honest you are. Well done. The reason I do not do this is that each shoot is post-processed, to improve/crop the images, and if required produce B&w or sepia images + a set which is sized for the web. So - added value, at no cost. But, totally agree that TRUST is everything. I have no time for people that compromise peoples privacy. And all images are kept off-line.

I love taking photos!! (You'd never guess given I have so few on my profiles! )

To answer your points individually:

*part of the fun is taking pics as well as being in them. And a cheap tripod and remote for my camera enables me to do just that!

*see point above

*see point above (although I and others I know have taken some great shots on a mobile!)

As for the trust thing? That's the key! Approach people with a "can I take pics of you" message or use that as your 'hook' for meets and people will be cynical, suspicious and turned off.

Wait for them to ask you (assuming they're interested, like your own pics, get recommendations from friends or are actively seeking help) and you stand a much better chance of your camera becoming part of the fun.

Some people just aren't into it. Some are but are happy to DIY. Others will be happy to participate once they know you better.

It's a rare inbox message that says "please come and snap the other half and me at it like rabbits" - and you may be in for a long wait til that happens!

I have been doing this for 17 years now & love it, i have shot film & photos of top adult stars to normal housewives & love the job.

I don't do it for a shag as i like to get things perfect & worry about lighting, angles & if she or he are covering the bits they don't want shot.

Standing there with a stiffy & learing at them is one way of losing future shoots, even though we are only human i think of what i am having for tea or whats happening on East Enders tonight to keep my mind off it lol.

Its not always as great as it seems & when there are half a dozen girls/guys/couples waiting for finished material it can be taxing.

I have always had regular requests over the years from swingers on Fab, LS for pics/films so doing this depends on reputation & word of mouth as people want 100% trust.

John

Digital has made it much easier to take pictures and good quality too.

As a computer engineer i used to visit camera shops on occasion and i know for a fact that they used to keep copies of pictures that they liked.

One (will not mention name) actually had about 10 albums of ladies pictures in their back room.

Just to encourage you. Go for it - learn as you go. Not all people will want lights, but if that is your style, then develop it. Certainly have had requests from ladies wanting boudoir shots - and there is the very lucractive ' pre marriage' market.

And so say all of us ( or I at least) - when asked 'why do you not use my camera' I say - because you want good pics. And that's as much about post processing/editing, and being able to be un-obtrusive in the 'bedroom or whatever' - It may be fun, but it's also challenging, and (sometimes) hot work !

I've taken photos for a member on here and two from another site.

It was fun for all of us and the expectations were laid out at the start. Most were happy for me to use my own card and process the photos for them but one couple did insist I use their memory card which I handed to them after- they gave it back to me a few days later and asked if I would do some processing on them. I was great knowing they felt they could trust me enough to hand me them back.

Looking forward to helping out again

We had a fantastic shoot with a professional photographer. He was fro a time a member here, but we didn't meet through Fab. Our buzz was to take part in a shoot in a proper professional studio. He was able to use his works studio, which had various sets and props. It was great fun, and the pictures are absolutely out of this world. He also applied some industry magic to them, so colours and contrasts were glorious. There are a few which are good enough for any paid-for magazine content. They look incredible on a 47" High-Def TV. But then each picture is around 5 Mb in size !

I take all my pictures and im not interested in action pics so I have no need to involve anyone else.

But even if that wasn't the case I would not take up an offer of a photographer on here. I don't care what guys profess, they are only offering so they can have sex. There's nothing in it fit them otherwise. I have more respect for people if they were honest and said 'I'll take pics but I want sex too' instead of pretending it's about practice and wanting to help people out the kindness of their hearts.

Yes that's the other side of it too, people wanting something for nothing. You get the cheeky buggers demanding proper studios, equipment, etc. They honestly think that professional photographers who have a business to run will want to spend their evenings / free time taking pics of these people without offering payment.

i'd love to find someone to take some pics for me I just hate having my pic taken, they always look so unnatural as I don't like posing for pics and I am really unphotogenic so it kind of hard to get pics lol

I did a profile shoot for someone that used to be on here. She had a guy round to be in the images with her so he would have images for his profile as well. They got down to it and I took the shots without getting in the way, but occasionally getting them to hold a position or move an obstructive limb. Got some great shots for them. The guy eventually left and then it was my turn. I had a great time and I wasn't expecting anything at all. I chalk it up as a fantasy fulfilled.

Was just joking about the feet

I guess if you don't like your own body pics then that's your prerogative but there's zillions of cool stuff that you can do. Maybe getting a boyfriend or someone you're comfortable with to take some shots would be cool for you?

Personally, I've found that I take my best pics when it's a girlfriend or a loved one - I don't know, its just more of a buzz & maybe I put in more thought?

It just feels right.

Good luck to you, whatever you do - but if you're not comfortable with it - it probably won't work!

I don't blame you, to be honest, - I think I'd feel exactly the same - although it can be very tricky taking pics on a timer if you want the two of you in the frame. Great pics btw!!

"Risking all here ... cynics - people who can't be trusted etc. But .. there are some people on FAB who love taking photos for you - who are reliable - and discrete.

BUT .... why use them ?

I say :-

* Because you can get on with the fun

* Because they can be part of it ( or not as you choose)

* Because there is a lot more to a great picture than just using your mobbie.

So - I htink its about finding people you can trust !

But ... what do you think ?

Thank-you for your post! I would be a very willing camera person. Love being a voyeur! Love taking sexy pics too!"

Thanks to all for their great posts and views.

Keep 'em coming - good to see there are lots of balanced, leve-headed peeps on here.

And - if I can help out for anyone in Lancs / NW, drop me a line.

P.S Watch out for people who do great toe-pics... liked that one - guess the answer is get a better tripod that doesn't droop on your lens! ( or a smaller lens) -

"We had a fantastic shoot with a professional photographer. But then each picture is around 5 Mb in size !"

Oh, and no involvement from him ...

With a wealth of experience and having done shoots for people on fab I'm surprised there's no evidence of your work here?!

If you find somebody you get on with it can be good fun though. We've done one with another photographer which was great to have two sets. Another good one was with somebody into ropes so they worked on the 'props' while I sorted the lights.

Then we sorted the 'props' properly

"I take all my pictures and im not interested in action pics so I have no need to involve anyone else.

"

How wrong you are.

I have never made sex a condition of the shoot or expected it in return. And to be honest the process of getting good photos often means the last thing on my mind is "getting my turn"

As I said, trust is the main thing, so if what you're actually saying is 'you don't feel you could trust a man to take your photos for you' then fine, just don't make generalising statements that are incorrect.

Re pics - there is evidence - I will make my feedback visible - and also invite you to email me. But Fab reals do not allow images of 3rd parties ( a good thing)

A good photographer will never set conditions to any shoot other than what you want to do with his/her images... purchasing the copyright off him/her will negate their concerns.

A good photographer will always make his/her clients feel at ease before firing off some top quality images.

The issue we have found on here to our cost is some guys didn't believe our profile was real due the quality of some images we have posted in the past.

Good images though turn heads and get a lot on interest generated so they can def be worth the money if your here for the long term and want to make your profile stand out from the crowd!

If you want a 'proper' photoshoot this isn't the place to find it. They're not hard to find - pay your money and set your terms.

If people on here get their rocks off taking photos of others and all parties are happy with that I don't see what the problem is?

The constant snootiness about photography discussions on here is pathetic.

With only a couple of exceptions the best photos I've seen on here haven't been by those professing to be photographers anyway.

Yes.... Finding a reliable chap with a camera and actually getting some pics is a rarity... "

never met me then have you.

Yeah right ... That's what they all say. Oh and I'm not saying that I don't feel I could trust a man to take my pic - I said it clearly the first time - most people, mainly men, who are offering to take

pics are doing so in the hope of getting sex in return.

If it was purely for wanting experience with models, then they would join in a photography forum and ask their, there are many of these sites to do so.

Similarly people who want household jobs doing, 'if you want an electrician you come onto a swinging site and ask for one - hmmm!

All it is is a trade off - pics in exchange for sex.

Surely you could have at least some pics up that show better a quality than you have tho. Your profile doesn't advertise well what you do.

This is true, good pics & word of mouth get John his shoots, if its work its work when it comes to photography as he is more interested in his shoots than whats going on.
