I'm deciding to quit for stoptober and have bought one of the e-cigs. Had them before and they do help a lot.

I'm wondering though should I change my status to non-smoker? Would people still class smoking an e-cig as smoking?

I know technically I'm still gonna be addicted to the nicotine and on meets may still pop to the bathroom or whatever to toke on the e-cig but it doesn't smell of anything and doesn't leave a taste in your mouth. I'm assuming thats what people don't like about smokers.

First off , good luck with the stopping !

If you manage to not partake of any real tobacco then yes , you could change to a non smoker .

Does that then mean you will no longer meet smokers though ?

e cigs dont make u smell like an ashtry so i think u be fine changing it

As a ex smoker i used to refuse to meet smokers for fun as the smell was awful at first and the taste of a smoker was a little nasty!

But after a while we got used to being around people who smoke again and so long as they are considerate and don't smoke whilst on the meet then we can live with it..

I'd still meet smokers. We accom mostly and our flat is stricly non-smoking anyway so as long as they go on the balcony and spray themselves with a bit of perfume/aftershave I'm sure I'll cope!
