ouch, household decorative candles are too hot for wax play, and yes will burn. you need low temp candles. available from all good sex shops x

no thats fine but deffo don't let them use house candles, and another top tip is don't put any kind of oil on your skin before dripping wax onto you

You can use household but you must let the wax fall for at least a meter before it hits you... which can be tricky to do on a bed in the middle of play and is not advisable - get proper candles.

Household candles contain oils which, I'm sure you already know from past experience, can hold a very high temperature for a very long time. Use pure paraffin candles for wax play but even they leave marks (I have a scar from a session 2 years ago).

Word to the wise on this one. Go get the candles yourself, I let a sub buy her own once and she bought tallow candles. The trip to the A and E was not a pleasant experience.

A meter?! But then it's totally cold!!! What's the point in wax play if there isn't some edge play alongside it in terms of the heat?!

Make sure she runs the ice under some water to make it start melting before insertion otherwise it'll freeze to your insides.

Jeez i must have a high pain threshold. I've only ever used household candles. The one time I used "special" candles, I couldn't feel the wax & they did nothing for me. Complete waste of money.

Soya candles are best for this and are available grom intimate torment at 5.99. They burn at a low temp. Do not use household candles as ghey contain pladtics which can lead to very nasty burns. Hope this helps
