Unfortunately 'some' women get a few sycophants giving them attention that they are not used to and it turns them into divas. They definitely start to believe their own hype

If you know what you want you may as well be clear about it from the offset. Just because you swing does not mean you can't be picky.

It should work as a filter. There is also the fact that you get so many messages saying the same thing.

I'm 5 miles away lets fuck.

Here is my phone number/skype etc

How are you?

Accept my friend request?

Can I see your pictures?

etc.

So a lot of profiles seem to be populated with answers to this question.

Your proximity is not a turn on and I don't meet straight away. I don't give out my number to strangers. I'm fine thanks. Wont accept friend requests from erm people who aren't my friends. Show me your picture and I'll show you mine etc.

I see a lot of women come to the same conclusion.

But in all fairness it tends to be ignored by most anyway so.

I guess if we didn't get the ridiculous messages then we wouldn't have the profiles as a response.

I disagree, aggressive profiles with end less lists probably puts off the very people you are looking for, in fact your more likely to attract sycophants telling you what you want to here

I am wary of overstated profiles, be they male or female with lots of demands, and lots of jubilant verifications with regard to someone's prowess. They don't prove a thing. I am just a woman who loves being stimulated in as many ways as possible, the mental side not least of all. A decent conversation/discussion can be stimulating and arousing as hell.

As for appearance - I always state the truth: I will never launch a thousand ships, but to date I've never sank one, either.

People put on their profile what they think is right its their profile after all. Ok you get some num brains who get arsy and you can avoid. You will always get that sort and the ones who think its a womans pick site but then again these deluded types find it hard to get a guy to take them out in public.

Are their profiles mad tirades or your perception? It could be that they have a sense of humour? Admittedly I have a feeling that tirades do exist in profiles as I am aware of many males having the odd whinge or two. As they do in the forums (of course the one or two is SUCH an exaggeration ).

Can I rant at all these men who shout at the top of their voices at how good looking they are? I blame their mothers, their opticians, and those seven small conmen selling magic mirrors .

Let's face it looks are subjective. I'm aware my facial features will appeal to some and not others. Hardly a Diva syndrome! I have a great instinct for when guys tell me what THEY think I want to hear because any flattery simply falls short of my own comprehension (oh god I'm a cynic ).

As for sexy... surely that's an attitude or feeling. If I feel sexy, because it's not beauty, not one man can tell me different. So if a man, woman or couple states they're sexy then I have to believe it, because it comes from within and not from what I see.

Is this post sour grapes cos these profiles deter the OP (and other whining men) from instashag or NSA shag? Having read the well thought out (rare) profile I would imagine it is more to do with the latter but don't take it as an accusation as it is simply a question with me reeling out my thought processes, which are allowed to be inaccurate.

Bottom line there are males and females on this site who DO come across as up their own arses. Yet in the real world they may be so different.

Spot on, it is everyone's right to write what they want on their profiles. I prefer the elaborate profiles so I can determine part of the person's personality (what they choose to share obviously), as opposed to "fun wanted", "will fill in later", "any1 want 2 shag gd looking guy 07777777777" etc.

The great thing is, if I do not like a profile, it acts as a filter and I move on , what could be better?
