Just read about the porn star couple that were diagnosed as HIV positive within days of each other. Apparently this follows a wave of adult actors, halting production on many US porn film sets.

They are campaigning that condoms should be used more in porn. But know that many actors would struggle to find work if they insisted on using condoms.

So what do you all think?

Yes they get tested every two weeks but testing doesn't stop you catching things, it only tells you what you've caught since your last test. How many people could you infect in a fortnight?

All porn actors are tested. You can't stop who they sleep with outside of work though.

I think that they know better than most about the risks involved given the frequency of testing in the industry.

Whilst I wouldnt wish it on anyone they chose to take the risk.

Further tests have suggested she didn't catch it doing porn (they can dna type the strain and follow where and who it came from).

If performers keep getting hiv the industry will die on its. Feet so condom wearing should be compulsory both for the safety of the people and for the continuing longevity of the business. It would also promote safe sex

But some infections (HIV) included don't always show up straight away - can be between 6 and 18 weeks for them to show on a test.

If you attually read up on these cases of hiv it started because a pornstar couple had a threesum outside of the industry contracting hiv they got caught with mandertory screenings spreading to a very few people.

If anything this shows how save it ia working in the industry these cases were caught days after infection not weeks like normal cases

The reality of sex IS bareback though. It's what it's meant to be, and is for any long term loving couple. Might not make a huge difference to a woman but it cuts the sensations in half for a guy

Regular testing, safe sex only and no cum in your mouth is the best way of staying safe. Be vigilant for signs of other health problems... Keeping yourself safe is priority and therefoe you keep your sexual partners safe in your company, it's a shame not everyone is doing this!!!

Sadly if every current actor in the industry insisted on wearing one their will be some naive youngster coming along thinking they are invincible and agreeing to do it without. The action HAS to come from the production companies Sith pressure from their market base (ie the customers watching it)

I said it's been blown out of proportion because of course In that industry it's a risk,but the risk came from playing bare outside of the industry...

I personally find seeing condoms in porn an utter turn off... But as I watch creampie porn, it would totally defeat the object of the porn...

So for me porn with condoms just means I look for something different to watch.
