that is the question. Does the meet today option make a single guy look a bit desperate and potentially pushy, and would it put you of emailing back?

I realise that and its a great way to find spontaneous meets, but I do think it may put people off who are not looking 'to meet today', if you get what i mean?

they use the “meet today” to arrange a meet in advance

True, but alot of peopla are reluctnat to use the MT icon as they will get inundated with emails, allthough that never seems to happen with me

i use the feature as its part of the site an i would like to meet some one

if some 1 dose mail me wanting to arrange a meet on the same day in question i will be happy to meet them

Not everything will appeal.

Personally I couldn't/wouldn't meet and play with someone on the day as I like to build a rapport first.

It wouldn't stop me from meeting someone who does: unless they were expecting to meet today!

We are on the "meet today" virtually 24/7 - because we can meet 24/7.

We don't have kids, we work from home and we can accommodate including overnight.

We are on there so much quite simply because it takes us an average of 6 weeks to actually get a meet off it.

Not everyone is in our position to meet during the day or week nights, but we don't see any harm in letting people know our availability.

Not everyone who contacts from there are what we are looking for, meet today does not mean "desperate and will meet anyone today"

The meets we have had from there have been exceptional.

But you're a cpl and you don't meet single guys unless in a club. The OP is asking about singles

sorry didn't think status mattered thought it was more about the "meet today" facility in general as I guess the same "sound desperate" might be the same for cpls seeking cpls or men seeking cpls etc.

we find it useful as it flags on our friends list, so people know we are free, which doesnt happen much, and if they are interested they can mail us, and as they are friends already we have atleast chatted with us so half the jobs done already

We use it and we aren't'desperate' and we wouldn't consider others using to to be desperate either - it's quite handy and we usually get a good response! Also, just becasue you might meet someone at short notice - it doesn't mean you'll end up playing - we like to have a bit of rapport and spark before any naughtiness happens! Go for it I'd say and don't worry about what other peeps think! Z
