Most xl are wider more than longer.

Tesco sell them, the hours I pass standing watching to see who buys them, then follow them home to loiter with intent.

I find most condoms aren't a great fit for me and don't offer much in the way of coverage, but then I do tend to fuck slowly so can usually manage to keep it on, though on occasions where I try a more vigorous thrust then they often fall off.

Have you tried a website called they fit? They send you out a measurer then you can buy the exact fit, I'd be surprised if you couldn't find one to fit on there! They measure length and girth

You will always get men who reckon "condoms are too tight for me" - and a lot of them do believe it so perhaps that's why they think they're feeling it!

We swapped with a couple at a meet and I was rolling one of Adam's XLs down him and he was doing the "too tight" comment - he was literally half the size of Adam, even his wife was embarrased he made the comment!

If you want a sensible answer, get a medical one and check this site:

http://std.about.com/od/condoms101/a/condomsize.htm

Note that it's the HEAD that pinches which is why they have 2 girths

"Several condom brands make condoms where the main body width is the same as their standard condom, but the condom size at the head is increased - in the table below those are usually the condoms with two girth measurements. This type of condom design can be helpful, because it is usually the head of the condom that is tight on a man, while the body is stretchy enough to accommodate men of almost any size"

and make note of this important point:

"Keeping the condom body smaller than the head also reduces the possibility of condom slippage - especially when they are used by men who only need larger condoms to fit their insecurities."

I mean, if it stretches to fit that army boot, it will stretch to fit little old you

I have a new trick I learned from a Spanish lady recently when "dressing" a man at a swap - open the condom wide with both hands, hold it over his erection and let it snap shut - no way can he say it's too tight once we've all seen how wide it stretched at the start!

Ok, not really a help with the condom question, infact the following factoid is not helpful at all .... BUT ....

Next time you go out for a drive with someone get them tu unroll a condom and then hold it out the window with two hands so it fills with air, anyone who says they are tight should really see the size they get!

This is the way Rose puts condoms on - quick and easy!

If it's too tight though, it could split. I had a few split until I realized there were bigger condoms available. My current fave brand is "My Size" which come in 5 different sizes. British condoms sell them, and also do a "big boy" selection pack of one of each brand of big condoms.

There's a slight disconnect with people saying a condom can stretch so far, and it fitting tight on a penis.

It is elastic, and MEANT to fit tightly on a penis, for as long as it retains its elastic properties. Kinda like a vagina huh?

Some fit tighter than others, and can restrict blood flow especially at the base. Just the way it is. For some men, it is a genuine problem. Others just take the piss.

According to your post. Your looking for condoms to fit an above average cock. Then you say he says they feel like they will fall off he doesn't come into a category of large or xl if thats the case. So what you actually need is a durex pleasuremax by the sound of it.

Here and there

It always amuses me when people claim that condoms don't fit them. For a start, the difference between so called XL and normal sizes are very minimal, we're talking millimetres. Also, if anyone should know wha size a cock is it's the condom manufacturers, after all it's in their interest to ensure their product works properly. As far as splitting goes, condoms are very strong and if you are having problems with them splitting you are either not using them correctly or they are in fact too big! A tight fitting condom is far less likely to break than a baggy one and will also stay in place.

It amuses me when people don't grasp that millimetres can make a huge difference between men of different dimensions (funny enough, usually mentioned in centimetres)

What a surprise.

The difference in width between normal Durex and Durex XL is 2mm which equates to 6.3(ish)mm more girth, hardly centimetres! Length is pretty academic because even your average condom is around 210mm which is about 8.5 inches, well above the average cock length.

Brief, yes. Clear, no. When do millimetres make a HUGE difference? Other than maybe in wavelengths of light. Maybe if you hadn't just cherry picked part of my original post then my point that just because a box says XL doesn't necessarily make it so, might have gotten across. I am well aware that cocks come in all shapes and sizes but I'm equally aware that they follow a normal distribution and that if you believed every cock size thread on here you'd be forgiven for thinking we're all packing footlongs.

Depending on where the difference is placed on the condoms, it makes a great deal of difference. Otherwise, why have different size in the first place.

Also, unless you somehow have my penis, your trying to discredit my point (based on MY experiences with condoms on MY penis) i'm going to go ahead and continue to maintain my point of _iew.

I have visited the web site in the quote and this might be slightly off topic - but it also talks about vegan condoms! FFS what the hell is going on there? Can any vegans enlighten us? Or should this be a separate thread?

Found out the reason for vegan condoms and here it is "Although it would never have occurred to me that a condom wouldn't be vegan, it turns out that many condom companies process their latex condoms using casein - a protein derived from milk. There are several condom companies that do not use casein, however, and at least two of them (Glyde & RFSU) have registered with vegan groups in a pledge to remain animal-friendly. These condoms use no animal testing and no animal by-products."

The last bit is interesting I would have thought testing a condom on an animal would have been illegal - unless a stallion is trying it out to make sure its not too tight! There back on topic.

'My Size' (available from British Condoms online) make a range of condoms in different diameters in roughly 2mmm increments from 43mm to 69mm, AND you can find a sizing guide on their website.

However, as I have always had the 'problem' of above-average girth,I have often found a standard size Ultra-thin condom actually works better, such as the current Durex Ultra-thin. Plenty of 'feel', plenty of stretch (lol!) and a snug fit.

It's a question of trial and, er,... error unfortunately....

ted.

Well vegans can't eat meat. So putting condom on the meat creates a barrier and makes for a vegan compliant bj

We use pasante large, the trick is to make sure the foreskin is pulled back tight before putting it on and then half way down let the foreskin losen a bit and roll down the rest.

We used to struggle with them slipping off and only rolling half way.

Pasante large are great as they're nice and affordable x

I'm amazed by the aggression raised by this subject. Some women might say that the difference is only millimetres, but would they walk around in a pair of shoes that were a few millimetres too tight? Of course not!

It's simply a case of personal choice and what it actually feels like for you, not what anyone else wrongly thinks. If it's too tight for you, you won't be concentrating on the sex but on the discomfort. And if the condom splits, then the point of wearing one is lost.
