I think I'd be really pissed off, while I have company I give them my attention before and after and don't check my phone until I'm alone again.

Can't you multi task then? I can manage to be engaging on a personal level as well as do other things.

We only have a third party's opinion of what happened here. Who is to say that the meet wasn't a roaring success and they are still fucking now?? If it's a long meet then there will be down time. A chance to see what's going on in the world. Maybe they wanted to find another person to join them?
