Why is it that you can be have a good chat getting to know someone then for no reason you get blocked. now i may be old fashioned but if people are not interested why dont they have the stones to say so anything else is just rude and ignorant or is it just me ?

Its a facility of the site, no one has a right to say how others should use it.

Not only that, I used to wish guys luck and send them on their way, but after a few days they'd send the same message they sent previously and you're back to square one again.. Now I block!

Saves having them back and more boring than before!

Sounds ruthless but it's the only way to not get them keep messaging you

Its far from ruthless!

How would you feel if you had to keep telling people time and time again that you're not interested??

I think blocking saves them the embarrassment of another knock back

This is a bit like not responding to a message because you don't like the look of the profile. We went through a stage of sending polite messages back, but this just seemed to get some sarcastic response.

We always block random friend requests no matter how good the profile looks.

What has surprised me is that I have had winks from couples - I politely reply - email deleted with no further comment - weird !

This is why I like the new notes facility - I have a deal memory and could never remember if I'd talked to someone before. Now, if they say they're not interested, a quick annotation and problem solved.

Unfortunately some people don't understand when we tell them we are not interested .having loads of guys contacting us before they read our profile .we have taken to blocking all single guys at the moment .and just have fun with the ones at the club we attend

We have chatted to quite a few guys on here previously. They mailed us asking if we want to chat. Ok i reply back. Nowhere in that short conversation is there any mention of meeting. Then just because we have been chatting for a short while we have found that most have took that as the go ahead to meet. Then they get the arse when I say no and get branded a timewaster. Probably their total time wasted 10 minutes. Bless their little cotton socks. That could be one reason as to why op.

Dont get me wrong i can understand why people block have done it myself but the point i was hoping to make was this i had been passing messages back and forth for a few days then when i say hi im all of a sudden blocked no explaination

Maybe you said something derogatory in your last message! As no-one apart from yourself and the recipient knows the contents of the messages, no-one apart from you and the recipient can comment on the issue.

The block function is there for people to use as they want to, ive blocked a few profiles now just so their pictures stop popping up on my updates as they are downright disgusting, if some1 blocks you why ponder what or why youve been blocked just move on

Because they can ........ And to some it what they like doing to fill there time here .. saves them mailing back people they don't like and dont know.

people really need to grow thicker skin !! no messing on here. But for the knock backs when you do have a meet or a few meets it should make it worth the while surely ?

i have blocked people because they sound ok at first, then they get cheeky,

or make derogatary remarks about my type of pictures, then they say what a nasty person i am for blocking them.

If someone (usually MF or F) is insulted or abused 19 times by men who cannot take no for an answer then the 20th guy is going to get treated to a summary block; however nice he really is. Fact of Fab.

nothing is real in cyberspace, until you talk and meet, take everything with a pinch of salt. remember on a swinging site you are dealing with hormones, sperm and desperation, so being blocked is just normal, I haven't blocked anyone, being a gay man, I would hate to miss anything....
