There is normal curvature (upwards) and then there is Peyronie's disease (left or right) the latter is not normal curvature.

FWIW I've been told an upwards curvature is very sexy and I haven't had any complaints

Not strictly true. I've just ust read up on Peyronie's disease, and to qoute "A certain degree of curvature of the penis is considered normal, as many men are born with this benign condition, commonly referred to as congenital curvature."
