Frustration with winks.

Over the last few weeks I have received a number of winks from couples which is both great and frustrating. Why? Well with a number of them I am outside their chosen age profile so all I can do is wink them back Due to that fact I can't PM them as I would if I was in their chosen age group. Frustrated you bet. SIGH!

I thought that filters blocked winks and messages equally.

If someone messages or winks you - you should be able to message them regardless of filters, as they have made first contact!

FYI - cut and pasted from the message filters page! So your post makes no sense!

Have mailed someone before (so if you mail someone you have otherwise filtered, they can reply)

Winked at someone (because if you wink we figure they should be able to reply)

Have them as a friend (because that makes sense)"

No only works if they message you first

It does. And i'm pretty sure, if a person winks at you, you're then able to reply by wink or message no matter what they're filters are due to having contacted you first.

I did and I just get a message saying I am outside their preferred age group

Right fathomed it now. You do get a warning if you are outside their preferred age group but you can still message them if you get a wink. However when you do try and PM them you get the popup and a warning but yes you can still PM them as I have just found out.

Nope. I've had winks from gals that had filters on and i was able to message them after they winked at me.
