Agressive profiles

What is it with agressive profiles? Do they work better, do they get more meets?

Just asking as the amount we seem to read, ranting about NO SINGLES (writen about 20+ times in caps in one profile)

or things like, male must have good cock as were not here just to provide some wife with a good portion.. (this kinda makes me laugh as I always thought it was non swingers who belived people swing, due to bloke cant fullfill wife, not that swingers belive it too)

Even saw a comment about if you turn up it better stand up "As real swingers never have a problem when it happens" Now personaly I have never had a problem (especialy if JD has been inolved) but face it, it will happen one day and some people just arnt as good looking up close as on a pic :P

I thinks it's from people who have had other profiles, and starting with a new one.

One man know from another site is playing as a couple on this site, and has it in BIG BOLD letters no single men, and some threats etc if one dose contact them, lol

Obviously he doesn't want to share, but is happy to take, lol

We dropped him...

aggressive profiles really turn us off, okay it is mildly annoying when people mail who clearly havent read our profile, or dont meet our criteria, but it only takes a second to delete n block, but when you see all over a profile NO SINGLES THIS MEANS YOU DICKHEAD etc,,, it kinda puts us of, it like some couples get offended at the very thought of singles just looking at there profile

Sorry but whom said capitals letter is shouting, I always think of it as pointing some thing out.

Welshsexpair you are right about single men who finds a lady, then don’t want single men, I have experienced that or you are not good enough any more for the single come couple to meet, that makes me laugh. Sorry that my english is not so good but only lived here for 4 years now lol

Well, it is easy to delete but I guess constant deleting are kinda tiring. Some extremely aggressive profiles turns us off like when the profile said nothing about them other then "NO, NO, NO" and that standard warning thingy...:D...and yup...I agree with tonyelke ... CAPS doesn't mean shout..."!!!" is considered a shout to us...CAPS are just to stress points or catch the eye of reader..:D...e.g: "WE ARE FUN LOVING COUPLE"..:D

Caps is shouting. It is perceived as that on every forum I post on, and every company I have ever worked for has discouraged using Caps in emails for the same reason.

Have you ever seen an official document using Caps to highlight something? Or would you expect them to use bold or underlining?

i always thought caps as shouting but as somebody said above now its to emphasise as well so i just read it and judge ...the heavy demanding profile i bin it ...i do "requests" not orders ...

and this culture of tring to treat single men as crap dont work with some of us ....Bollox

Agressive profiles are a huge turn off....we've all had inappropriate messages from people who choose not to read profiles but turning your profile into a page of screaming demands does'nt look good in my opinion

As someone said if they don't read your profile anyway they won't take any notice of agressive ones and all the nice people that may read them and want to contact you may just pass you by

Yes agressive profiles definately do acheive results.

They result in us being really pissed of when we see them and also make us more determined to ignore the owner of the said profile

We don't have bold or underlining here though, so caps can be both, a way to highlight, or a way to shout, IMO.

I agree that caps can be used to highlight a point as we have no other way of doing it but too much highlighting a point quickly turns into shouting

I couldn't agree more wiggles happy.

When you've got limited space to write about yourselves & what you're looking for, it never ceases to amaze me how some people write ads that are aggressive moaney & derogatory about others.

Definitely puts us off.

I actually read a profile earlier which was ALL caps.

And it was quite off putting to be honest.

Agree with "highlighting" with caps which helps but not the whole bloody thing !!!

This is reason Caps are considered shouting, on alot of forums, used to go on one forum where a guy ended almost every sentance with !!!!!!!!!! yet didn't see how people saw hs posts as aggressive :P

I know exactly whose profile that is because having been roundly abused by the fem of the couple (in a Forum Thread) I had to go look at their profile. I hope they saw me perving them! And guess what their profile is exactly how they are. A pair of hardened swingers and distinctly unattractive. And that was before I read their profile ...hehe.

you know what i really hate in profile? people who put things like no fatties, no mingers1......theres really no need for it, we all have our likes and dislikes, i mean i have seen profiles that say things like attractive couple who look after ourselves so we expect the same, and i have looked at their pics and though.....attractive? im whos bloody eyes?!! so all you people with snooty profiles just remember someones looking at you and thinking .......bloody hell no ta lol

i so agree with you ..there is no need for slagging off people even before you meet ...lol...i mean ...define minger ....how many nice people are going to walk away thinking "dont think i am a minger ...but they might ...i wont post" ...

also selfish cold judgemental wankers dont do it for me and never will .

see thats the bit i don't like lol

I've never seen myself as anything special, because im not im just me, but i leave it for other to decide if they like me or not, but soon as you see comments like no mingers or must be attractive thats put pressure on me straight away so i feel i can't reply, and hey you never know they may have though i was drop dead gorgeous and missed out on the best shag of their life lol

we put some parts in full caps as we got sick of people contacting us, swaping emails, talking on the phone and then finding out they weren't compatible as they didn't read our small print! it saves everyones time, trust me..

it's also laughable how people compare profiles on a swingers site to official documents etc, it's a bloody sex site!!

we have had no probs with our profile and at the end of the day, if you dont like it, deal with it and move on..

cheers!

I think that everyone has the right to say what they want and what they do not want in their profiles. However, instead of saying "no mingers", why not say something like "looks are important to us"? Instead of "no fatties", why not "must be in shape"? A profile can be aggressive in tone, but aggressive words turn me off (unless they are said in bed!).

Interesting perhaps you and oldkingcole are a match secondrow. As you say one can protest too much especially with your uber camp profile pics. Maybe you can get that first verification - single fellas don't appear to be so fussy about men playing away from their wife and kids - sorry did we say that again of course we meant flatmates!!
