"Got face pics but keep them for friends only and private so then i can choose to send one when requested !" I've got a face pic for friends only too and its also available to send on request, but i'd be more than happy to make it my main profile pic if it meant i could see everyone else's face pic too

"Why not publish names and addresses as well? With face recognition software you could be picked out in the street. Let us be real for a moment, swinging is not _iewed by the general populous as a good thing and consequently many people wish to retain some discretion in case your friends, family or employers notice. As a consequence demanding a face pic as a prelude to any response at all is, in our _iew, unreasonable. If it was made mandatory we would leave the site. We have face pics which we send to people we have chatted to and whom seem genuine and worthy of meeting. That works for us. "

"I was just reading through a thread about Face pics and virtually every woman said it was mandatory for them to receive them first before any conversation took take place. So i got to thinking, wouldn't it be best that it was mandatory for every profile to have at least 1 face pic on show so everyone would then see who they might be talking to. I know i'll get the privacy thing thrown at me, but a lot of websites have this stipulation so why not Fabs?" Maybe it would be a good idea to lead by example

"We would leave if that was the case. We have face pics available to send when we wish. But would not be happy with every Tom dick and Harry being able to see. We both have public jobs and we wouldn't be happy with random people coming up to us or talking about it " This! Plus I'd be guaranteed an instant P45 from work! So I'd be off site in a jiffy and just stick to meeting contacts I already have and visiting clubs. It wouldn't benefit the site at all!

"Plus I'd be guaranteed an instant P45 from work!" Without meaning to sound rude at all, as I said in the other thread about this subject, I've never bought into this kind of paranoia. What grounds would they have to dismiss you from employment because you engage in sex with multiple partners in your private life? Most people - especially younger, single people - these days do, even if they don't use a website to facilitate it. I'd be interested if anyone has any actual evidence of an instance where this has happened, 'cause to me, it just seems like an over-justification to be especially private (which shouldn't need one, by the way; if that's your choice to be).

" Simple. There's a "reputational risk" clause in my contract. I've seen people sacked for idiotic posts on bookface - so feedback from a client that they do not agree with my choice of 'recreational activity' and no longer wish to do business with my company, or work with me - and I'm out the door! Can't quite work out why some people doubt that businesses are able to have this _iewpoint? It's actually more common than you think these days. Certain industries require their employees to act in a certain manner both in AND out of work - and rightly or wrongly perceive this sort of activity as potentially being damaging to their image.

" ok anyone who is in the military for example can be done for bringing their service in to disrepute. Conduct un becoming and so on, normal companies can and would use the same sort of thinking. Think of it this way how many parents would cause a fuss if they found out their child's teacher was on a sex website ? The school would let the teacher go. Swinging is still morally wrong in the eyes of the general public

We do have clear face pics for friends only or pm's but we choose not to display them publicly for reasons of discretion. We wouldn't participate in a site that had that as a rule. I do see your point, but, that method's not for us.

" We've never been photo verified and have never felt the need to do so...we don't intend to change that now If face pictures were compulsory we would leave. Our long built careers are just not worth jeopardising and people who don't believe it would be an issue are incredibly naïve...

I've been thinking about this face pic business as well, I think it's a bit "off" to dictate a face pic must accompany the first message, how the hell do you know who you're sending your photo to? I prefer to exchange a few messages first, to see if there's any initial "spark" if there isn't why bother sending a face photo? Everyone needs to go at their own pace, I prefer to stay away from people that say "you must do this" or "you must do that" get real, and get a life ffs. Chill, have fun n keep smiling

I know i'll get the privacy thing thrown at me, but a lot of websites have this stipulation so why not Fabs? mine is a face pic. My ugly mug. Probably why I keep getting 'NO's' lol. I think everyones avatar should be a face pic. But thats just me. But why do you think that ? I just think it would make life easier for everyone. Seeing who you're messaging before you do it. I know people have jobs to protect and things but its just my personal preference. If I ran the site I still wouldn't enforce it but I just think it would be better That's fair enough but just imagine what it would be like for the females on here or parents being recognised then possibly harassed by others. By not having our faces on display we reduce that risk and only show those who we would wish to meet " I know what you're saying and like I said I wouldn't enforce it for those reasons but I just think it would be good if we all could see each other from the get go.x

The site is awash with fake/joke profiles so short of attending in person to a Fab approved photographer what proof is there? You say it's you, your veri's might also say its you but how do the unverififed or new profiles get round it.............

"Ok, i'm not dictating to anyone how to use this site, neither am i seeking to put anyone's jobs or safety at risk, and it's childish to say so, i've only posed a question based on one thing most of you have missed. Like i originally said, MOST women regard it as MANDATORY that they receive a face pic first before any conversation takes place. But if thats an ok condition for women to insist on, what about the privacy issue for the men? who in reality have no idea who they're sending their pics to. I can understand the arguement that most women put forward of what's the point in chatting to someone you don't fancy, but i still cannot see what's wrong with saying hello first to someone who's taken the time to send you a message and then ask them, have you got a pic? If someone sends a one liner, then fair enough, but if someone has composed a decent sized message surely you can afford them the courtesy of a reply." You are dictating how others use the site though. If I read a profile that's expecting me to jump through hoops I have two choices: jump, or jump to the next profile: it really is as simple as that! No one is holding a gun to your head stating you HAVE to comply to the demands! If you choose to contact the divas and they ignore you, whose fault is that? It's not as if they masked the type of person they are, but you took a chance anyway. Chance: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose...you knew the score, so?!!

"Most people have only answered your question and where did anyone say you were going to put their job at risk? Its childish to come out with a comment like that really.....most have just stated the reasons why they think its a bad idea which i assumed was the point of your post?" Not knocking you but have another read from the start and you will see a whole list of people saying they would lose their jobs if anyone found out they were on a swingers site.

"I just did a search of women looking for couples in our area and out of the first ten profiles only one insisted on a face picture with the first message. How does that equate to 'most'?" I'm not a couple and i don't live in Waltham Abbey, so that search was pointless, jeez

"I have a face pic on my profile, and won't meet unless I see one back. BUT!! That's my choice. I know people think this site is going to the dogs, but its simple - if you won't meet people without face pics on their profile, then just browse for profiles that have them. It's not up to the admin to police who and how we meet. It's up to us." The key words are "MEET people" You should not require a face pic as a prelude to messaging each other.

"And why were at it, enforce property detail, mobile number and employer details It's personal choice, free will and comfortability dictate if you post a face pic. Read between the lines bud. Everyone likes to see who there talking . So send a pic with a msg. " Job, privacy, our childrens safety - you won't find a face pic anywhere on our profile and if someone insists that they want one before a meet can happen then they can 'jog on'!! Never have face pic associated with a site like this, our jobs, income and financial security is way more important than this. Besides, if you were in the wales room not so long ago you would be aware that pics had been copied and posted on facebook by some idiot! So i got to thinking, wouldn't it be best that it was mandatory for every profile to have at least 1 face pic on show so everyone would then see who they might be talking to. I know i'll get the privacy thing thrown at me, but a lot of websites have this stipulation so why not Fabs?" in messages or private maybe.. But on public show never.. if it was we would leave.. we decide who sees our face pic not anyone else.. can you imagine where our face pics would end up when we turn guys down which we do alot..

You can't account for ignorant people i'm afraid, we all get them. " I have to say the verified photo thing is a red herring and isn't really what this threads about. But i do have to take my hat off to you Moodymoo as you have put your face pic on your profile and think you are a leading light to the rest of us. Well done " For accuracy let's be perfectly clear the profile in question has some face pictures attached to it. As to whose pictures they actually are neither you, I or anyone else on the site knows. They could simply be from anywhere on the Internet and the member in question could be Brian from Clacton! The only sure fire way of knowing if someone on here is actually who the claim to be is when they publish their verification list and from that published list you recognise someone you have met or someone you know exists. We have some really simple criteria when considering meeting people, one of which is hidden verifications = fake profile. We have been playing for 13 years and not been let down once in that time so for us our methodology works fine

You have that luxury as a single woman no-vanillacupcake not to message anyone first, but as a single guy amongst 1oo's of others, we can't be so arbitrary, and when faced with the few single women that are on here who mostly insist on us risking our privacy by sending a face pic before you'll even chat to us, we normally have little choice but to send the pic and hope you are genuine.

Yes we can! Number if first messages I've sent this year? Probably just in double figures! Number of meets and socials? Considerably more - but then getting out in the real world (clubs, socials, parties etc.) does help no end!!

"I personally think that every member should have to verify themselves to admin with a photo and username but only to be available to the public eye when you so choose to do so. i like this idea it would get rid of loads who join just for a windup , i dont mind the sight knowing me if it helps better the sight xx" it wouldn't stop people joining for a wind up. Getting a face picture verified.can only verify that its a face, there is no guarantee the face belongs to the person behind the profile.

I'd rather not put a face to many of the bodies I've seen on here It's not a suggestion that can work. This site makes it's money because of how easily people can sign up, also meaning anyone can easily do so and look through profiles. Your proposal would alienate a large amount of the market.

"I think we've already seen that most women don't insist on this. If most womens profiles that you look at do maybe you need to look at your search criteria and see if there is something in that which is skewing the results you see. Oh dear Please may i refer you to _isshottiebottie's posting just 6 postings above. It may well help you if you could read the single women's postings in this thread before you decide to make your next personal attack on me. I thank you." Personal attack? I was merely trying to point at that the posters on the forum aren't 'most' of the site and, in fact, if you look at a majority of the female site users profiles they don't ask for face photos first. Now if you are going to take what a minority of the site users say and use this as evidence that you are right then I'm obviously wasting my time. I'm out.

Online dating wasn't/ isn't like any normal activity either." dating sites are accepted as part of modern life, same as having your shopping delivered, one day in the future, marriage and traditional relationships will no longer be around, and swinging, or sex without limits will be the norm, until then, swinging is a perversion that will cause the fall of society

"FFS I just searched women looking for a man anywhere and got the same result. One out of the first ten insisting on a picture. Are you really telling me you've just read all the profiles of all the single women on Fabs? Mate, all you need to do is read what the single women have said on this thread and you'll see that MOST of them have stated they do require a pic first before they start a conversation. Ok? Thank you. I ask for a face pic with the first message and will send one if I send the first message. Wether the sender chooses to send one is up to them but I do make it clear that I'm not gonna be messaging without one. I see no point in wasting either of our time messaging only to find out there is no attraction for either party. That being said I definitely do not think that face pics on profiles should be mandatory. Privacy is very important on here! Not knocking you at all as you have every right to do what you want to do, but can i just ask what's wrong with just saying hello first and then asking for a pic? This is a genuine honest question and please answer how you feel fit" Because more than once I've been in the situation where I've done that. Then received a pic and realised they aren'ty type. Then you have to say so, the way I do it its avoidable.

"I don't agree with forcing anyone to get photo verified. I think people should use their heads when choosing meets and stop asking admin to do their work for them. " This! All by myself, I know, unique on here, I've managed to meet men without Admin holding my hand. In six years I've not encountered a time waster, suffered abuse etc. I've been contacted by men who claim not to have photos on here because of their job but happy to Skype, send in email. As that's not how I roll I decline, wish them well and move on. I repeat: choices. We use the site the way it suits us. If I don't want to play how others do I leave them to it, not seek to change it to suit me because I'm too stupid/lazy/inept etc.

There are several very good reasons for someone not wanting to show face pics. Keeping their job being one of them! There are lots of people on here were their job would become a pain if one and all knew they were on here. Infact i'm not going to go in to anymore reasons as to why it WOULDNT be a good idea to make it compulsory. I'm sure if it was the number of members using this site would go down. Very naive

Its childish to come out with a comment like that really.....most have just stated the reasons why they think its a bad idea which i assumed was the point of your post? Not knocking you but have another read from the start and you will see a whole list of people saying they would lose their jobs if anyone found out they were on a swingers site." Yes but im sure they didnt single you out as putting their jobs at risk just that the fact mandatory pictures would, which is their opinion on your question not a personal slight at you which by calling them childish isnt a great response. By not having our faces on display we reduce that risk and only show those who we would wish to meet I know what you're saying and like I said I wouldn't enforce it for those reasons but I just think it would be good if we all could see each other from the get go.x This is a very circular argument but for instance why would those we never want to meet need to see our face " not getting into it. You obviously dont agree with me and thats fine but I'm not going to keep trying to explain myself to you.
