Rude or just fake ?

Browsing around, have come across a number of profiles that say "IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FACE PIC, YOUR MESSAGE WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT READING", or words to that effect ( in capitals, all shouty ! ). And yet they have no pictures at all on their profile ! Just wondering, are these blatant spam profiles, or just incredibly rude people ? I have no problem with folk wanting to see face pics, but at least play fair

Of course - like many I guess they could perfectly well have face pics in private?

Just a thought - but as said - if it's an issue just move on!

I do believe they mean IF you do not have a face pic that can be shown by request....or in most cases attached to first message!

NOT if you dont have one showing on profile....

Double standards and yes it is rude to an extent. I have face pic's in my private gallery and am more than happy to let anybody see them as long as the reciprocate. After all if they are genuine why shouldn't they.

Thanks for the replies folks. Yes, like a lot of people, I'm happy to show face pics once I've chatted, just reluctant to post them publicy for the whole world to see Maybe I'm just being over sensitive when folk have no pics at all ( and no private pics, even ) on their profile, yet demand to see your pics immediately

For what it's worth, I believe that whoever makes the first approach should show their faces first.

I will always attach a face pic, or say one's available on request, if I approach someone.

I hate it when someone approaches me, rare event that it is, and ask to see a face pic but won't show me theirs first or even at all.

It's just good manners!

I wouldn't even bother to message anyone without seeing a face pic first. Limits who I would message if I was meeting but doesn't bother me. I also state I will not answer any messages without a face pic, be surprised how many dont read that bit

How do you know someone has no private pictures?

There's a difference between friends only and private!

Never assume anything!

LOL, well said ! And I apologise if I've misunderstood the "friends / private" pictures thing. I've seen people with "friends only" pics, which is fair enough, some people have no profile pics and no "friends only", I assumed this means they have no pics at all. Sorry, new here, the last thing I want to do is make enemies or annoy people !! But thanks again for all the replies.

Which is exactly what I do have. I request in my profile that anyone messaging me with a view to meet please send a face pic. If they don't I won't bother replying. If I like the look ill send one back with my reply. If I make first contact ill send a pic with my message.

Best thing to do is not get hung up on peoples preferences - if they don't suit you - there's plenty more that will!

Dont look at capitals as shouting but the fact you cant change font or underline or use a highlighting pen. So capitals is just to make it stand out as important
