I hope no one takes offence to this but looking through some profiles of women and it says 'curvy'

What are your expeditions of this? I would consider beyonce to be curvy, where as others would put Dawn French as curvy?

I'd say it's open to interpretations, everyone has a different opinion as to what curvy is.

I'd say I'm curvy even tho I'm a size 12 ~ larger boobs & ass gives you curves, simples

I'm a size 18 but consider myself curvy as I go in quite a bit at the waist. I wouldn't have any issue if other people called me fat though. Everyone is different and has different ideas

Not to offend anyone. But a 6ft lass who is a size 16 is a LOT different from a 3ft lass who is size 16.

Curvy means different things to different people. To me it is more of a shape than an actual size.

I describe myself as curvy because I have curves and most of them are in the right places.

Beyonce? Curvy? Yes she has curves, as women should, but her body type is most definitely athletic! I describe my body on here as average, size 12, with the usual bits I dont like about myself like most women, but I have curves, curvier than Queen B so maybe I'm fat? But I'm basically happy with who I am and if you're happy and confident in your own skin, regardless of size, that makes you beautiful!

Like so many things its all about perception. One mans 'curvy' may be another mans 'clinically obese' whilst another mans 'clinically obese' will be another mans 'curvy.

If you look and you like then enjoy, not a very difficult concept

Shes huge, but i still fancy her so does my hubby and he prefer slimmer.

i wouldn't go that far, i think when you get to the size that you have a over hang on your belly and rolls in your back that's not curvy its just fat

That's a good point, but that only underlines the notion that curvy describes a shape and not a size. It is also true that someone who is healthy and slim may not necessarily have any curves either.

Curvy does NOT mean fat. Curvy describes a shape, or a tendency to conform to a shape, but is irrespective of absolute size.

Some may describe themselves as curvy, instead of fat, but that is an entirely separate issue.

You see... here is the issue... I would say those (rather unflattering) descriptions apply to me... so I have put large....apparently I am not big enough to be a bbw... but too chubby to be convetionally attractive. ..

Met a gorgeous man who said I wasn't large I was curvy. ..

on here curvy means fat, i would describe myself as fat not curvy yet i have seen women much bigger than me state they are curvy, when you get to a certain size curves turn to rolls and spooning yourself into a corset to give you a bit of shape don't make you curvy, some women just cant accept that

I am a size 18/20 I didnt put bbw because a few years ago I was size 24/26 so to me that was fat ! ..... but as messages from members I receive saying how much they love bbw and would like to meet me , I think I either need to diet or change me profile lok tabitha x

I don't like all this curvy/fat threads... If you like at a profile and the subject doesn't look like your definition of curvy then look away. Women are very sensitive about their bodies and all this can make them feel somehow. If it floats your boat go for it and if it doesn't then leave her alone and look somewhere else, DAMN!

I met some gorgeous women who describe themselves as curvy, it is widely open to different ideas though. It's a lot easier if people put decent shots if not face photos on their profiles, close ups of breasts and vaginas aren't especially useful.
