I'm not quite that obsessed with it but I do think its pretty good, much better than Nightmare.

At the minute I'm listening to Black Stone Cherry and Stone Sour a lot and I've just booked tickets to see Skindred in January...

New album is a great improvement on nightmare but that album was half written by The Rev before he died and then finished as a tribute album to him. Hail to the king is more old school a7x and first few songs are very metallica ish which suits me fine

ah stone sour now your talking

I saw Black Stone Cherry a few years ago at JBs, they had just finished touring with Nickelback and did a few small venues alone, it was one of the best gigs I have been to, I think because its a small venue the atmosphere was great, everyone was just balling their hearts out, id never even heard of them at this point I only went because I love live music and went to see anyone and everyone at JBs lol

We haven't been to Download yet we saw most of these bands in either Liverpool or Manchester. We much prefer the smaller venues if possible.

JB's was a great venue had some grearful nights there and I'm old enough to remember the original one too. Am I right in thinking that it is now some cheesy place now?

And back on topic, not rock (as someone else already said to us rock is crap like Bon Jovi). but I listen to a lot of old punk and hardcore and crystal is total metalhead. We were at Anti-christ last night, decent music, dungeon and a couples room - whats not to like!

Hi everyone. Good to see a thread I actually relate to for a change. Nothing beats a good sleazy riff and pounding drums to get me in the mood. Ac/dc, Buckcherry, Rob Zombie, to name but a few, playing loudly in a club or in the house gets me all pumped up and ready for love.

I love nights out in the Manchester Gay Village, the only thing that spoils it for me is the awful music. Swear if I get a large lottery win I'm opening a bar there that plays good music. A lot agree with me there would be a big demand, lot's of Gothy T Girls etc.

An Arena? Preston Guild Hall and around the same time David Bowie at Blackburn King Georges Hall. I think Led Zep was the first time I paid a quid to to see a band, Bowie was something like 75 / 80 pence

Love a lot of country too and was up at the National Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne last Monday, Wilko Johnson playing possibly his last live gig before he dies, a very moving concert.

Rock music. Is there any other music. In response to the Led Zeppelin fan who'd seen them in 2007..sorry but you didn't see the whole line up and they were well past their best. No Bonzo and Plants voice had gone. I first saw them in 1969 followed by 1970 then 1972 when I met them and again in 1975..

I think it should have been 72 when I should have seen them but it got cancelled for some reason and the moved it to 73. Not precise on the dates though, they were the band, still listen to them now an awful lot.
