My profile says don't message me. Result: 55 messages a week.

Two weeks ago I decided to change tactics with the "hi, wanna meet" messages I keep getting despite me saying on my profile that I can't meet right now and don't want to chat either as I'd had quite a few guys say they are happy to chat then pester me every week to see if I'm meeting yet.

I can't meet because I'm a full time carer for an eldery relative and it costs a fortune to get a decent nurse to cover for me when I want time out.

I don't see why I should hide my profile when I've made things quite clear as to whats what on it.

So I changed my profile to make it pretty obvious what will happen if you message me. Basically I block you.

I also put a little counter on my status to keep track of the number of blocks.

So after two weeks I've had an average of 55 messages a week. The majority were single guys (sorry to those who can read), there were a few couples and I think 5-10 who asked to be blocked - which I actually understand as I must come over as a right mardy-moo.

People, please read a profile and act on infomation given within. You don't do yourselves any favours spamming us with crap messages.

Couldnt you simply set your filters so that no mail comes through from anyone...save you getting all het up about it

Why don't you change the age range of who you're looking for? I get fed up sometimes so I change the age range to 98 - 99 and block anyone outside this range from mailing Not many 98 and 99 yr olds n my area

If you take everything off the 'looking for' bit you don't show up on searches.

If you don't want any mail at all, copy my profile. I get about one mail a week.

When I went away and changed it to say 'not meeting' I got loads of mail.

Mental. I think people see it as a challenge. They like the chase.

I too was going to msg you but I read your profile and understand where your coming from but I would just redo your settings

So many options to stop unwanted messages on this site I have no sympathy for someone complaining about getting them.
